It’s simple to make enemies in the world of The Boys. The superpowered individuals, or ‘Supes,’ are often reckless with their abilities, causing more harm than good. The series begins with a tragic event: A-Train, one of The Seven, accidentally runs over and kills a woman named Robin while she’s holding her boyfriend, Hughie’s, hand. A-Train’s excessive speed is fueled by Compound V, a substance he relies on to stay the fastest. But he isn’t the only one pushing their limits; Homelander, the leader of The Seven, will do whatever it takes to control his team.
By the end of Season 4 of The Boys, Homelander has made a lot of enemies, and even some Supes he’s never met are preparing to fight him. Here’s a list of the 15 heroes who are confirmed to be opposing Homelander in Season 5, ranked from least to most powerful.
15) Hughie Campbell

After losing his girlfriend and encountering Billy Butcher, Hughie finally understands the truth about the world around him. He commits to fighting against Vought, especially Homelander, who mistreats his new partner, Starlight (Annie January). In Season 5, Hughie will have to rely on his intelligence, as he’s lost the powers he gained from Temp-V.
14) Frenchie

Frenchie isn’t a Supe – he doesn’t have Compound V in his system – but he’s incredibly resourceful. He’s famous for his tech skills, which are powerful enough to take down Supes. If he wants to help his team escape prison in the final season of The Boys, he’ll need to come up with a clever plan.
13) Mother’s Milk

Now that Billy Butcher is unavailable and struggling emotionally, Mother’s Milk is temporarily leading The Boys. This puts him, along with Frenchie, Kimiko, and Hughie, in jail. However, he plans to fight back, and once he gets out, he’ll likely target Vought, particularly if Soldier Boy returns.
12) Annabeth Moreau

Season 2 of Gen V introduces several new super-powered individuals, and Annabeth Moreau stands out. She’s Marie Moreau’s sister and has the ability to see the future. Although she doesn’t display any physical strength, she’s likely as tough as most Supes, giving her an advantage over regular humans.
11) Cate Dunalp

Similar to Annabeth, Cate Dunlap is much more effective when she relies on her intelligence instead of physical force. She has a knack for manipulating people, and she takes advantage of this ability until Jordan Li confronts her. After that, Cate becomes determined to protect her friends, even if it means using her powers to go against Vought.
10) Emma Meyer

Emma Meyer has the potential to be a powerful hero, but her biggest challenge is controlling her size-changing ability. The season finale of Gen V hints that she’s starting to gain control, which could lead to her becoming a major player in the future.
9) Starlight

Starlight has been a part of the show since the beginning, so it might seem like she’s already mastered everything. But her powers are still developing – we see her finally learn to fly in Season 4 of The Boys. While she isn’t the strongest fighter, Starlight is incredibly dependable when things get difficult, and she always perseveres, even after a tough blow.
8) A-Train

Being incredibly fast has its advantages – A-Train can easily outrun more powerful Supes. However, he doesn’t stay on the sidelines for long. The end of Gen V Season 2 reveals he’s joined the resistance and is preparing to fight Homelander. It’s still unclear how much of a threat he’ll be to his old boss.
7) Jordan Li

Among all the superpowers in The Boys, Jordan Li’s is the most unusual. They can change genders, and with each change, their powers also shift – from super strength when male to energy blasts when female. This unpredictability makes Jordan a particularly difficult opponent for Vought to anticipate.
6) Kimiko

It was devastating to see Frenchie taken away right when Kimiko was finally finding her voice, and this will undoubtedly fuel her desire for revenge in Season 5. What makes Kimiko so powerful is her ability to quickly heal from even severe injuries. Combined with her incredible strength and resilience, she’s a truly formidable opponent.
5) Sam Riordan

Golden Boy’s brother isn’t particularly skilled at much besides his powerful right hook. Sam Riordan is central to many of the biggest fights in Gen V because he’s physically stronger than most. When facing Vikor, he has to fight with everything he’s got just to survive. But ultimately, it’s another character who wins that showdown.
4) Zoe Neuman

As a huge fan of The Boys, I have to say Victoria Neuman is seriously scary, and it looks like her daughter, Zoe, is just as terrifying! Those tentacles that come out of her mouth? They can tear through even the strongest Supes, like we saw with Vikor. The only tricky part about her powers is she has to get right up close to use them. But honestly, she seems so harmless that getting close isn’t a problem for her – she totally plays it to her advantage!
3) Billy Butcher

Billy has a unique weapon – specialized tentacles capable of harming even superpowered individuals. We see him use them against Victoria in the final episode of The Boys Season 4, and it’s likely he’ll target Homelander next. However, what truly makes Billy dangerous is his desperation. Having lost everything and facing his own mortality, he’s completely fearless and a force to be reckoned with.
2) Ryan Butcher

Even though he’s still a child, Ryan Butcher faces incredibly difficult circumstances in The Boys. Not only is Homelander his father, but Homelander is also responsible for his mother’s death. It would be understandable if Ryan wanted to avoid the conflict, but he realizes he might be the world’s best hope for stopping his father, since he’s inherited all of Homelander’s powers. Even a small amount of that power could be crucial in the final battle.
1) Marie Moreau

Season 2 of Gen V reveals the origins of Homelander: he was created through Thomas Godolkin’s Project Odessa, a program designed to develop exceptionally powerful superheroes. Marie Moreau is the only other person who survived the program; she has the ability to manipulate blood. In Gen V, she receives a significant power boost that she’s likely to unleash in the upcoming final season of The Boys, potentially catching Homelander completely off guard.
