Downdetector shows Microsoft Azure is down — major outages hit Office 365, Teams, Xbox, and more

Many people are currently experiencing problems accessing websites and online services. This is due to an outage with Microsoft Azure, the cloud platform that Microsoft and numerous other companies rely on to run their websites, applications, games, and other online tools.

Downdetector, which tracks problems with online services as they happen, started showing a major outage with Azure on Wednesday morning. Many services that depend on Azure are still affected.

Microsoft knows about the issue and is working to fix it. They’re posting updates regularly on their Azure status page.

In short, Microsoft is working hard to identify and resolve the problem affecting Azure and its related services. For now, users need to be patient while a solution is being implemented.

The recent Azure outage affected several services, including features within Microsoft Office apps like Word, Excel, and Outlook. It also impacted Microsoft Teams, the company’s AI assistant Copilot, and the Xbox gaming network.

Popular options also include games like Minecraft, as well as digital services from companies such as Capital One, Starbucks, Costco, Xfinity, and Walmart, among many others.
