Liam Hemsworth plays Geralt of Rivia

Geralt of Rivia is an experienced monster hunter. He began his training as a ‘witcher’ at a young age at Kaer Morhen, learning from Vesemir. A special serum enhanced his abilities, making him a formidable fighter. He shares a unique connection with Princess Cirilla because he once saved her father and, as a result, was bound to her by the Law of Surprise.
Chris Hemsworth explained that what drew him to Geralt’s story in season four was the character’s emotional journey. He felt Geralt was at a turning point, experiencing real change and uncertainty – something the character hasn’t often faced. Hemsworth described Geralt as filled with doubt, confusion, and worry.
He’s facing a tough situation where he needs to deal with personal challenges and understand he can’t do it alone. He has to acknowledge his vulnerability and accept that he needs help to overcome what’s ahead.
Many people wonder where they recognize Liam Hemsworth. As the brother of Chris Hemsworth (known for playing Thor), he’s built a successful acting career. He first became famous for his role as Gale in The Hunger Games movies, and later appeared in Independence Day: Resurgence.
Anya Chalotra plays Yennefer of Vengerberg

Yennefer of Vengerberg is a powerful mage who overcame a difficult childhood. Born with physical challenges, she discovered her magical potential at the Aretuza academy under the guidance of Tissaia. Now one of the Continent’s strongest mages, she’s focused on stopping the dangerous sorcerer Vilgefortz in season 4.
You might recognize Anya Chalotra from shows like The Cipher, The ABC Murders, and Wanderlust, as well as the animated series Sherwood. Recently, she’s become part of the new DC Universe created by James Gunn, providing the voice for Circe in Creature Commandos.
Freya Allan plays Princess Cirilla of Cintra

Princess Cirilla, known as Ciri, is the granddaughter of Queen Calanthe and the sole heir to the kingdom of Cintra. In the first season, she was a fugitive because of her royal lineage and possessed unpredictable magical powers. Currently, she’s living in hiding under an assumed identity, and her magical abilities seem to have disappeared.
You might recognize Freya Allan from her roles in TV shows like BBC One’s The War of the Worlds and Sky’s The Third Day. She’s also been in the action movies Gunpowder Milkshake and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.
Joey Batey plays Jaskier

Jaskier is a charming bard who first meets Geralt in a tavern after a disastrous performance. He joins Geralt on his monster-hunting adventures, hoping to improve the Witcher’s reputation through his songs. Over time, they develop a close bond, and by season 4, Jaskier has become a valuable friend and ally.
You might recognize Joey Batey from shows like Whitechapel, Strike, The War of the Worlds, and Lucky Man. He’s also known for playing Jaskier, and recently appeared in the series The Witcher: Blood Origin.
Laurence Fishburne as Regis

As a huge Witcher fan, I’m really excited about season 4! One character I’m especially looking forward to seeing is Regis. He’s a beloved figure from the books, and this will be the first time we get to see him brought to life on screen.
Henry Cavill explained to TUDUM that Geralt is dealing with more internal struggles this season and is grappling with complex feelings. He’s a character who isn’t used to acknowledging or sharing his emotions.
He’s growing more comfortable with who he is thanks to his connection with Regis.
Laurence Fishburne is a well-known actor, famous for playing Morpheus in The Matrix movies. He’s also appeared in other popular films like Apocalypse Now, The Color Purple, and Mystic River.
Laurence Fishburne portrayed Perry White in the DC films Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. Later, in 2018, he joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe, playing Bill Foster, also known as Goliath, in Ant-Man and the Wasp.
He recently worked with his Matrix co-star, Keanu Reeves, again on the John Wick movies (Chapters 2 through 4), playing the quirky character of the Bowery King.
Eamon Farren plays Cahir

Cahir is the commander of Nilfgaard’s army. Throughout season 3, he’s shown as fiercely dedicated to Nilfgaard and focused on finding Ciri. However, the season ends with him defeated and in prison, making his future actions uncertain.
You might recognize Eamon Farren from his roles in movies like Winchester and The Dig, or from TV shows such as The ABC Murders and the revival of Twin Peaks.
Mahesh Jadu plays Vilgefortz

Vilgefortz is a powerful sorcerer and a major antagonist in the fourth season of the story. He belongs to the Brotherhood of Sorcerers.
I think I recognize Mahesh Jadu from somewhere! I definitely remember him as Doug from Neighbours. He’s also been in a couple of other things I’ve seen – Marco Polo and that Pirates of the Caribbean movie, Dead Men Tell No Tales.
Mimî M Khayisa plays Fringilla

Fringilla is a strong sorceress from Nilfgaard who was a student at Aretuza, just like Yennefer. In the fourth season, she’s caught in a growing conflict and isn’t sure whose side to take.
You might recognize Mimî M Khayisa from her work in popular shows like Doctor Who, Yonderland, In the Long Run, and Mr Selfridge. She’s also been in films such as Cinderella, The Legend of Tarzan, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and Catherine Called Birdy.
Royce Pierreson plays Istredd

Istredd is a sorcerer and a member of the Brotherhood of Sorcerers. He previously had a romantic relationship with Yennefer, but they eventually broke up. He’s recognized for being intelligent and level-headed, qualities that would serve him well in a professional setting like LinkedIn.
You might recognize Royce Pierreson from shows like Death in Paradise, Our Girl, Line of Duty, Wanderlust, and The Irregulars. He’s also been in the movie Judy and the TV special I Am Ruth.
Wilson Mbomio plays Dara

Dara is a young elf who appeared in season 1 as a fugitive from Nilfgaardian soldiers. Tragically, his family was targeted by an order from Ciri’s grandmother.
You might recognize Wilson Mbomio from his roles in the movies Pan and The Favourite, and the TV series Dickensian, Jamillah and Aladdin, and Hunter Street.
Anna Shaffer plays Triss Merigold

As a big fan of The Witcher, I’ve come to know Triss Merigold as a really powerful sorceress. I first encountered her when she asked Geralt for help rescuing a princess – a classic setup, right? She seems genuinely good at heart, but you quickly realize that in that world, even the best people can be pushed to their limits. It’s fascinating to see how her morals are challenged by everything going on around her.
Many people recognize Anna Shaffer from her roles as Ruby in the British soap opera Hollyoaks and Romilda Vane in the Harry Potter movies. She’s also been in the TV shows Cuckoo, Zapped, and Class, a spin-off of Doctor Who.
Therica Wilson-Read plays Sabrina

Who is Sabrina Glevissig? Sabrina is a sorceress and a member of the Brotherhood of Sorcerers.
You might recognize Therica Wilson-Read from her roles in the movies Tony and Profile, and the TV series Young Wallander.
Mecia Simson plays Francesca Findabair

Francesca Findabair is a powerful elf sorceress who rises to become Queen of the Free Elves. She is dedicated to protecting and advancing the needs of her people.
Where have I seen Mecia Simson? Simson has previously appeared in the series Brave New World.
