Hazbin Hotel Creator Teases Helluva Boss Crossover: “We’re Figuring It Out” (Exclusive)

From the beginning, it’s been clear that Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss exist in the same universe, affectionately called the “Hellaverse” by creator Vivienne Medrano and her team. After first appearing on YouTube, both shows are now available on Amazon Prime Video. To celebrate the move to Amazon, the creators brought the characters from both series together in a special crossover scene, which sparked a lot of excitement among fans. In a recent interview, Medrano hinted that an official, more substantial crossover is in the works.

Regarding the highly anticipated crossover, Vivienne confirmed to egmr.ru that the team is actively working on it, exploring different possibilities. Medrano added that crossover elements will be included, and he’s eager for fans to see what they come up with. He admits they’re unsure exactly what fans expect from a crossover, but now that the worlds of the two shows can connect, it’s definitely happening, and he’s thrilled about it. Given that Helluva Boss is slated to conclude after its fourth season, it’s likely this crossover will occur before the final episode.

Where Did “Hazbin Hotel” Come From Anyway?

In a conversation about Hazbin Hotel season two, Vivienne Medrano shared the story behind the show’s unique title. She revealed she enjoys playfully altering words, and decided to intentionally misspell “has-been” as “Hazbin” simply because that’s how she envisioned it. She also does this with character names – for example, Velvett has two ‘t’s, a detail you’d only notice when seeing it written out. Surprisingly, this quirky spelling actually helps with online searches – when people look for Hazbin Hotel, it’s easier to find because it stands out!

While the second season of Hazbin Hotel hasn’t set up a crossover with Helluva Boss yet, Charlie Morningstar has been incredibly busy. After defeating Heaven, her hotel has become well-known in Hell, attracting many new ‘guests.’ However, these demons aren’t interested in redemption – they want to learn how to defeat angels. With new episodes released weekly on Amazon Prime Video, the season won’t last long, but fans have the reassurance of already-confirmed third and fourth seasons.
