In ARC Raiders, Celeste often sends you on missions throughout the Dam Battlegrounds, but she’s not always clear with her instructions. In the quest “Keeping the Memory,” she asks you to visit a memorial honoring those who died during the first ARC invasion. This quest unlocks immediately after you finish another quest from Celeste called “Straight Record.”
The quest ‘Keeping the Memory’ requires completing several steps during one raid. The locations are a bit remote, meaning you’ll probably mostly encounter the standard patrolling robots from ARC Raiders. If your only goal is to finish the quest, I suggest playing solo with a basic or inexpensive weapon setup. That way, you won’t risk losing valuable gear if you run into trouble.
Where To Find The Wreckage In The Formicai Hills
Southeastern Dam Battlegrounds
Your first goal is to “Reach the wreckage in the Formicai Hills.” You can find the Formicai Hills on the southern edge of the Dam Battlegrounds map. If you zoom in, the wreckage will be clearly marked.
The map shows a blue marker pinpointing the location you need to reach – it’s west of the Testing Annex and south of Research & Administration. You’ll find the remains of a Baron, a large, spider-like machine, that has fallen apart and is now rusting in the woods.
Where To Find The Missing Helmet & Where To Put It On The Memorial
The Helmet Fell In A Bush
After you find the wreckage, look for a missing helmet. It’s hidden in the bush shown on your screen – the one in the center. Just walk up to the bush and pick up the helmet.
Once you’re done, please return the helmet to where it belongs. The memorial is nearby – it’s a short pole sticking out of the ground. The picture above shows exactly where to put the helmet, on the right side of the screen. (You can see it’s already there in the image.)
When you reach the crash site, the helmet might not be where you expect – in the bushes. It may have already been moved to the memorial. We’re aware this happens, and more details are below.
Keeping The Memory Can Only Be Completed Once Per Lobby
Leave & Come Back
The helmet appears to be a permanent item on the server. This means that once a player places it on the memorial, no other player will be able to do so in that same game session. If you try, you’ll need to take it back and try again. This might be a mistake in the game, but because ARC Raiders keeps items consistent across all players in a session, it could also be how the game is meant to work.
After you return the helmet to the memorial, go back to Speranza and talk to Celeste to claim your reward. You don’t need to collect any items for the “Keeping the Memory” quest, so even if you’re defeated, you can still finish it as long as you’ve completed all the steps. If you want, you can enter a Dam Battlegrounds raid with only Adrenaline Shots to quickly reach the wreckage and complete the ARC Raiders quest.
