The exciting competition, Celebrity Race Across the World, starts tonight (Thursday, November 6th)! The celebrity pairs will begin their journey from the starting line, competing to be the first to reach the finish.
The show’s new season begins on a Caribbean island. Contestants will race through various checkpoints, ultimately heading to La Guajira Peninsula in Colombia – a region often called the gateway to South America.
Like always, the celebrities will only have enough money for a single plane ticket to cover their expenses. This time, that works out to just £30 per day – the smallest amount they’ve ever been given on the show. They won’t be able to use smartphones or the internet, so they’ll need to depend on their own skills, help from local people, and good fortune to navigate their journey.
Celebrity couple Molly Rainford and Tyler West are participating, and here’s a quick look at everything you need to know about them before the show starts.
Who are Molly and Tyler?

Relationship: Engaged couple
From: London
Jobs Actress/singer and TV presenter/radio DJ
Instagram: @mollyrainford and @tylerwestt
Molly Rainford, age 24, is an actress who’s become well-known for playing Anna Knight in EastEnders. However, she first appeared on TV much earlier – as a 12-year-old singer, she reached the final of Britain’s Got Talent.
Molly and her fiancé, Tyler West, a 29-year-old radio DJ who hosts the afternoon show on KissFM, first connected while competing on Strictly Come Dancing in 2022.
Tyler and Molly appeared on Lorraine and discussed how challenging it was to compete in the race together. Molly joked that it was essentially a test of whether she could actually marry Tyler.
Why did Molly and Tyler want to take part in Celebrity Race Across the World?
Molly said accepting the challenge on Celebrity Race Across the World was an easy decision, calling it “a no-brainer.”
Working together felt natural – we’re very comfortable with each other, already share a home, and have a completely open and honest relationship. It just made sense.
We’ve never traveled like this before – we usually prefer all-inclusive resorts where we stay in one place. This trip will be something completely different for us.
Tyler explained that with everyone leading such hectic lives, they often feel like they’re just briefly connecting with each other. He really wants to share this experience with his closest friend, Molly, and feels he’d find it much harder to go through it without her support.
Celebrity Race across the World begins on Thursday 6th November at 8pm on BBC One.
