Okay, you guys are not going to believe this! As a huge PlayStation fan, I’m so excited to share that we’ve officially chosen our Game of the Month for October 2025, and it’s a PS5 title! I can’t wait to tell you which one it is!
Let’s be honest, everyone expected Ghost of Yotei to win. If you somehow predicted otherwise, you might be in the wrong place – this is a site for PlayStation fans!
The results were overwhelmingly in favor of Sucker Punch’s sequel – it wasn’t even close. It received over seven times more votes than any other game in the poll, making it a clear victory.
We received over 1,300 votes for 16 different nominees. Here are the top 5, as chosen by our readers:
- Ghost of Yotei – 775 votes (57%)
- Battlefield 6 – 110 votes (8%)
- ARC Raiders – 90 votes (7%)
- The Outer Worlds 2 – 68 votes (5%)
- Ninja Gaiden 4 – 60 votes (4%)
Considering how well its previous game did, Ghost of Yotei was expected to be a major success for Sony. Sucker Punch Productions consistently delivers high-quality games, and many players and critics believe Yotei is their best game yet.
I was absolutely blown away by Ghost of Yotei! In my full review, I said it’s an amazing sequel that really puts you in control of everything – it builds on what made the first game great and just takes it to a whole new level.
A well-earned win for the team! Congratulations to Atsu, but remember to stay focused on your goal of getting even.
Wow, October 2025 was crazy busy for releases! It felt like it just kept going after an already packed September. Seriously, so much good stuff came out that month!
The launch of Ghost of Yotei, a PlayStation 5 exclusive, immediately made things interesting. Sucker Punch’s sequel has received fantastic reviews and a lot of praise, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see it win this month’s Game of the Month poll by a large margin.
Let’s not jump to conclusions, but Ninja Gaiden 4 has been a huge hit with action game fans (and if it wins October’s award, it will be the third Ninja Gaiden game to achieve that in 2025). Plus, Battlefield 6 really revitalized the series, marking a strong comeback for the franchise.
Players are really enjoying ARC Raiders! October has been a great month for those who love playing with friends or even strangers to compete and win.
Games like the intricate roguelike Ball X Pit, the surprisingly captivating PowerWash Simulator 2, and the delightfully silly Once Upon Katamari each offered a unique experience this month.
RPG fans had plenty to enjoy, including the expansive and choice-driven adventure of The Outer Worlds 2, and a charming retro experience with the Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake. For those looking for monster-collecting games, Digimon Story Time Stranger delivered a solid option.
Okay, now that we’ve refreshed our memories, let’s quickly review our Game of the Month winners for 2025 so far…
