Hallmark+ launched about a year ago, but this year’s Christmas season will be the first time it can truly showcase what it offers. Previously, Hallmark’s popular Christmas movies aired on TV and then went exclusively to Peacock. Now that the agreement with Peacock has ended, all new and classic Countdown to Christmas movies will be available on Hallmark+, giving fans the complete library they’ve been waiting for.
Hallmark+ isn’t just offering its full library of movies this holiday season—it’s also launched two new features that promise to enhance the viewing experience and could even set a new standard for streaming services.
One of the biggest new features on Hallmark+ is the addition of channels you can watch anytime, a trend we’re seeing with many streaming services – it turns out people still enjoy the experience of traditional TV! Hallmark+ is currently testing three channels, including one dedicated to playing Christmas movies around the clock, completely ad-free.
Don’t expect a regularly scheduled marathon of Hallmark movies like you might see on TV. That kind of programming isn’t available on the service. However, these 24/7 channels are the next best thing – and you get the perk of watching without any commercials! The only drawback right now is that there’s no on-screen schedule or movie information. So, if you tune in mid-movie and want to start from the beginning, you’ll have to figure out the title by identifying the actors.
As a big Hallmark fan, I’m really enjoying the new 24/7 channel, even though it’s still getting a few things sorted out. It’s great to have another way to watch, especially since I don’t have cable! But what I really love is how much easier it makes finding all the Christmas movies. Navigating the ‘Countdown to Christmas’ lineup used to be a challenge, but now it’s a breeze!

Okay, so as someone who tries to watch every single Hallmark Christmas movie (it’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it!), this is a lifesaver. If you’ve fallen behind – and let’s be real, who hasn’t? – it’s the perfect way to see what you still need to catch up on. The best part is, as soon as a new movie airs on TV, it automatically gets added to the list. Seriously, it keeps me organized and ensures I don’t miss a single heartwarming moment!
Although there’s nothing quite like watching Hallmark Channel all season long, Hallmark+ is working hard to offer a similarly cozy and convenient experience.
