Jimmy Kimmel Postpones Talk Show Episode Over Personal Matter

Jimmy Kimmel is hitting pause.

Jimmy Kimmel delayed the recording of his show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, on November 6th. This comes less than two months after he returned to the show following a brief time off, and sources say he’s currently handling a personal issue.

Madison Beer, originally scheduled to perform on the show, also shared the news with her fans on social media.

She announced on Instagram that her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live had to be postponed to a future date because of unexpected issues.

She said she’d share more information about when it would be released as soon as she could, adding that she was excited for everyone to see it.

Jimmy is taking a short break from his show just under two months after it was initially paused and he was suspended for comments he made on September 15th. The suspension followed a monologue delivered after the death of right-wing personality Charlie Kirk.

The suspension didn’t last long—less than a week, in fact. When Jimmy returned to the show, he delivered a heartfelt speech during his first episode back.

He said, visibly upset, that he never meant to downplay the seriousness of the young man’s death and that he found nothing humorous about it.

He went on to emphasize what he had been trying to convey in the original monologue.

I didn’t mean to come across that way at all,” he explained. “I realize it might have seemed insensitive or confusing, and if it felt like I was blaming anyone, I understand why they’d be hurt. I probably would have felt the same way if I were in their position.

However, he was upset that ABC took him off the air because of pressure from Brendan Carr, the chair of the Federal Communications Commission.

You know, I shared my thoughts with the folks at ABC, and we talked things over quite a bit. I was honestly surprised when they decided to bring me back! I think they realized things move fast these days, and honestly, I’m just a small piece of the bigger Disney picture. I’m so grateful they gave me another chance on air, and I really do appreciate it.

The comedian also thanked everyone for the support they showed him while he was off the air for six days.

He explained that he’d been contacted repeatedly over the past week by everyone he knows. He also expressed deep gratitude to those who supported the show, saying he was touched by their efforts to make their voices heard, which ultimately helped him be heard as well. He promised he’d never forget their support.

Jimmy also expressed gratitude for those who disagree with his show and views, but still defend his right to express them.
