Netflix recently unveiled fun videos starring the actors behind Luffy and Zoro from the live-action “One Piece.” In these clips, they interact and play with miniature LEGO versions of their on-screen characters. These sneak peeks provide fans with a preliminary glance at the upcoming sets. The LEGO Group announced its partnership with “One Piece” in January, revealing five new LEGO sets inspired by the Strawhats’ Going Merry Pirate Ship, Baratie Floating Restaurant, Arlong Park, Buggy the Clown’s Circus Tent, and Windmill Village. Additionally, there will be two LEGO BrickHeadz figures of Luffy and Buggy. Mexican actor Inaki Godoy, who portrays Luffy, can be seen playing with the Going Merry and Windmill Village sets, exhibiting childlike excitement as he engages with toys based on his character. Godoy is overjoyed about the new LEGO sets, describing them as a “dream come true.
As a passionate fan of Zoro from One Piece, I share that same excitement when it comes to my LEGO sets! Just like Mackenyu, the actor who plays Zoro in real life, I too find joy in building and playing with my Going Merry and Buggy the Clown Circus Tent sets. The green hair on Zoro’s figure brings back memories of our favorite swordsman. I can’t help but play around with the other figures, even placing the Straw Hat on Zoro to make him the new Captain – a nod to the ongoing rivalry between Zoro and Sanji.
Though some fans might have wished for LEGO sets more closely tied to the anime or manga, these One Piece LEGO sets are based on the Netflix live-action adaptation instead. Get ready, as all five sets and two BrickHeadz will officially debut on August 1st, 2025!
The One Piece LEGO Sets Are Almost Here
The genuine enthusiasm abounds! Witness Iñaki as he delves into the Windmill Village and Going Merry LEGO sets, brimming with the unbridled joy of a child embarking on an infinite journey. Are you prepared to map out your own path, comrades?

Godoy, Mackenyu, and even the creator of One Piece manga, Eiichiro Oda, were thrilled when they found out about the LEGO sets based on their beloved series. For years, Oda had been longing for a One Piece LEGO, but it was only possible due to the live-action adaptation. It seems like fate or clever planning that the early stages of the current Elbaph arc show the main characters trapped in a toy world designed by a large-sized nerd, which strangely resembles LEGO blocks. This could be Oda expressing his love for LEGO through the manga.
The live-action adaptation of “One Piece” made its debut on Netflix on August 31st, 2023, garnering favorable responses. Despite some fans expressing disapproval over certain creative choices in the series compared to the original franchise, it has been one of the more well-received live-action adaptations produced by Netflix. Boasting a substantial budget, impressive sets, a talented cast of actors, and the input from Oda himself, the “One Piece” live-action series has managed to excel where many other anime live-actions have fallen short (generally speaking). The series plays a significant role in Netflix’s promotional strategy, serving as one of the key highlights for their TUDUM event.
Regardless of the perspective you take, Nakama, there’s always an element of excitement embedded within each LEGO brick! Marvel at Mackenyu’s enthusiasm for the miniature green-haired Zoro and our magnificent Going Merry! With these fresh One Piece LEGO sets, the potential for fun is boundless.

It’s anticipated that the second season of the live-action adaptation of “One Piece” will premiere in 2026. Netflix has announced who will portray key characters like Miss Wednesday, Miss All Sunday, and Crocodile for the upcoming series. Furthermore, they unveiled Chopper, the half-human, half-reindeer character, at TUDUM. If the second season proves to be as popular as the first, fans might receive additional LEGO sets inspired by different parts of the franchise, such as Drum Islands and Alabasta.
