Friday’s WWE SmackDown began like any other show, but it ended with a couple of big surprises. Not only did a wrestler unexpectedly move up from NXT, but there was also a stunning change in the Championship titleholder. A title change itself was surprising, but it happened incredibly quickly – almost too fast to follow!
Tonight’s SmackDown featured two championship matches. Chelsea Green challenged Giulia for the WWE Women’s United States Championship, and after a turbulent week, Green had a major victory! She defeated Giulia in a surprisingly quick match – lasting only about five or six minutes – shocking both the audience and fellow wrestler Kiana James, as well as Giulia herself.
For a moment, everyone wondered if the match would be restarted because of a technical issue, but that didn’t happen. Instead, Green won the WWE Women’s United States Championship, making her the first woman to win the title twice.
The crowd was shocked but thrilled by Green’s win, as she’s become incredibly popular with WWE fans over the last year. They supported her throughout the entire match, and even though she received a little assistance to secure the pin, it didn’t dampen their celebration. The crowd, along with Alba Fyre and Ethan Page – who cheered her on from ringside – enthusiastically celebrated Green’s victory.
Green is now a two-time champion! She recently won the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship with Page, defeating the former champions, La Hiedra and Mr. Iguana. Green secured the victory by pinning Hiedra while she was distracted by Lola Vice.
Red, white and GREEN! @ImChelseaGreen is now a DOUBLE CHAMP!

Charlotte Flair consistently delivers exciting moments on SmackDown, and now, as a two-time champion alongside the Secret Service, she’s really on a roll. Hopefully, this successful run continues for a long time.
This situation leaves Giulia and Kiana James in an uncertain position. Giulia’s time as Champion didn’t quite live up to expectations, and she often disappeared from television, making it seem like she might lose the title. Now, it’s up to WWE to figure out what’s next for her, and hopefully, they have something significant planned to revitalize her career.
