Crunchyroll’s Now Streaming One of Anime’s Best (And Formerly Missing) Dubs

I was really happy to see Crunchyroll recover a fantastic English dub that had briefly disappeared. It’s great news for fans who might have missed it! There used to be a lot of complaints about English dubs in the anime community, often due to issues with quality or planning. But honestly, things have really improved, and for a lot of newer anime fans, watching with an English dub is actually their preferred way to enjoy the shows. So whenever a good dub becomes available, it’s always something to celebrate.

The English dub of Haikyu!! is widely considered to be one of the best anime dubs available, but it’s been difficult to find on different streaming platforms. Now, Crunchyroll is offering the English dubs for the first two seasons of the show. While the remaining seasons are still only available with Japanese audio and English subtitles, this is a significant improvement, as the English dubs for these earlier seasons haven’t been available for streaming in a long time.

Why You Should Watch Haikyu!!

Created by Haruichi Furudate, Haikyu!! quickly became a major success for Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The manga is incredibly popular, and the anime adaptation has boosted its reach even further. Produced by Production I.G., Haikyu!! has significantly increased the popularity of volleyball in Japan. It’s a dynamic and exciting series.

The story centers on Shoyo Hinata, who joins his high school’s volleyball team with a big goal: to become an incredible player. He’s motivated by a smaller player who achieves great things, and Hinata wants to do the same. The series follows his journey through games and competitions, along with the stories of other characters and rivals he meets. It’s a long and rewarding series with a great ending, which explains why it remains popular even years after it first came out.

What’s Next for Haikyu?

The popular anime series Haikyu!! is continuing its story with a second movie, which will conclude the series. The first film, Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle, recently came out and continued the story from the fifth season of the TV anime. The final movie, Haikyu!! vs. The Little Giant, is planned to bring the series to a close, though a release date hasn’t been announced yet.

Susumu Mitsunaka, who directed the first Haikyu!! film, is back to direct Haikyu!! vs. The Little Giant, which will cover the intense match between Karasuno and Kamomedai High Schools. With more story remaining in the original manga, fans are eager to see how the series will conclude. In addition to the movie, a new TV special, Haikyu!! Bakemonotachi no Iku Tokoro, is planned to showcase the match between Fukurodani and Mujinazaka High Schools, fitting in between the events of the films.
