Netflix’s Building the Band honored Liam Payne with an emotional tribute, acknowledging that the late singer had participated in this project as his final work prior to his passing.

At the start of this show, our host, AJ McLean, expressed that when we initially filmed Building the Band, none of us could have predicted that we’d be bidding farewell to our friend Liam Payne so soon.

A past member of the band One Direction will make an appearance in the Netflix series after his death. His family has previously checked out the series before it was released, and they approve and support his role in it.

Last October, it was deeply unfortunate that Liam Payne passed away at the age of 31, following a fall from the third story of the Casa Sur hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

A flood of tributes were paid to the celebrity, among them a message from his ex-band members in One Direction: “We are utterly heartbroken upon hearing about Liam’s death… The moments we experienced together will remain precious for all time.

In this competition, a diverse array of gifted vocalists join forces to create a musical ensemble without prior meetings.

During their travels, Nicole Scherzinger serves as their guide. Later on, Kelly Rowland and Liam Payne make appearances as guest judges in various episodes.

Payne’s family has openly expressed their approval for Building the Band. Last month, his sister Nicola posted on Instagram: “Over time, I’ve been delighted to share many accomplishments and significant moments as a proud sister, and I couldn’t be more proud of this show, and I believe you feel the same way too.

Over the last few months, watching you has helped me/us stay connected and witness your brilliance. It’s wonderful that others can now enjoy your performance as well. You are like a beacon of light, my longing for you exceeds what words can express, and my love for you is immense.

Liam’s other sibling, Ruth, similarly expressed a heartfelt message on Instagram, informing her audience that she was deeply saddened because Liam “didn’t get the chance to witness his incredible talent in the series.

She expressed that she was aware she’d performed well, as we all acknowledged during filming. However, rewatching it left her astonished!

As a fellow film enthusiast, let me say this: You, Liam, have always been shining brightly on the silver screen, and that radiance will continue to captivate us. Watching your performance in this movie, I felt a multitude of emotions stir within me, but the one that stands out is an indescribable swell of pride, knowing that you’ve reached such heights.
