However, if you prioritize gameplay over narrative, this game might not appeal to you, as it doesn’t offer much in that area. Its strength definitely lies in its storytelling.
So, I just found out about this game called 1000xResist that dropped onto Game Pass. It’s cool that it’s available day one with the subscription, but it’s kinda funny – it’s actually been out on PC since last year! Apparently, it was a bit of a hidden gem in 2024. It’s made by a new studio called Sunset Visitor, and it’s their first game, published by Fellow Traveler. It’s a narrative-driven sci-fi adventure, which sounds right up my alley!

Okay, so I just finished playing 1000xResist, and seriously, if you’re into games with a great story, you need to check this one out. It starts off really weird and honestly stays that way, but it works! It’s one of those games where the story just grabs you and doesn’t let go – once it really gets going, I couldn’t put it down until I saw the credits roll. It’s a total rollercoaster!
The author adds that if you prioritize gameplay, this game probably isn’t for you. It’s mostly focused on conversations and simple movement. However, if you love a good story, they highly recommend it, calling it one of the best games ever made and their all-time favorite story, in any form of entertainment.
