New PlayStation State of Play Announced With a Unique Twist

I was so excited to hear they’re doing another PlayStation State of Play this week! It’s a little different this time, though. We usually get one big State of Play in September, which is typically the last major stream of the year. We did get that one in 2025, but now PlayStation is throwing a surprise with another stream – and this one is all about games coming from a specific region. It’s a cool idea and I can’t wait to see what they announce!

A new State of Play presentation is happening tomorrow, November 11th, and this one focuses specifically on games from Japan and other Asian developers. It’s the first time the presentation will only showcase titles from these regions. The broadcast is expected to last around 40 minutes and promises lots of gameplay, interviews, and fresh looks at upcoming games.

Join us for State of Play Japan this Tuesday at 2pm Pacific Time / 5pm Eastern Time! This broadcast is especially made for gamers in Japan and Asia, and will be presented in Japanese with English subtitles.

We don’t yet know which PS5 and PS4 games will be featured in the upcoming State of Play presentation, but PlayStation promises a mix of popular franchises and unique indie games. This means we might see anything from highly anticipated titles like Resident Evil Requiem to new games like Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls. Several major Japanese publishers, including Square Enix, Bandai Namco, Konami, and Koei Tecmo, may also share announcements. As PlayStation is a Japanese company itself, we could also expect some announcements of their own first-party games.

The next State of Play presentation will start November 11th at 2 PM Pacific Time / 5 PM Eastern Time. You can only watch it on YouTube this time, not on Twitch. Also, if you’re in an English-speaking region, the stream will be in Japanese with subtitles.
