Sean “Diddy” Combs is setting the record straight about his life behind bars.
After a report claimed the rapper, currently serving a four-year sentence for prostitution-related crimes, was caught drinking alcohol brewed inside prison, his representative strongly denied the story.
A spokesperson released a statement on November 9th to People magazine addressing inaccurate reports about Mr. Combs. The statement confirmed he has not broken any rules while incarcerated and is fully committed to maintaining his sobriety and self-discipline.
Sean “Diddy” Combs, 56, was moved to a lower-security prison in New Jersey after being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn for over a year. According to TMZ, while at the new facility, he allegedly made a homemade alcoholic drink by combining Fanta, sugar, and apples, which fermented over two weeks.
It’s only his first week at Fort Dix, and we expect rumors to spread during his time there, according to a spokesperson. We’re asking the public and the media to be understanding, respect his privacy so he can focus on self-improvement, and allow him to move forward without unnecessary disruption.
TopMob News has reached out to Combs’ rep for further comment but has not heard back.
Despite being found not guilty of sex trafficking and racketeering charges in July, the rapper known for “I’ll Be Missing You” is still in federal custody. However, records from the Federal Bureau of Prisons show he is scheduled to be released on May 8, 2028, according to TopMob News.

Although Sean Combs’ lawyers had asked the judge to sentence him to 14 months in prison, they expressed their disappointment with Judge Arun Subramanian’s decision to impose a 50-month sentence, according to NBC News.
In October, attorney Teny Geragos, representing Combs, told ABC News that the jury clearly found him not guilty on both the sex trafficking and RICO charges. She emphasized that a ‘not guilty’ verdict simply means he was found innocent.
After spending many hours with the Grammy winner preparing for his trial, his lawyer, Geragos, sincerely believes he’s a different person now. He stated, “I can say, with all honesty, that he’s truly changed.”

At the hearing on October 3, 2025, the judge sentenced him to over four years in prison – specifically, 50 months – followed by five years of supervised release and a $500,000 fine.

The musician publicly apologized to Cassie Ventura and Jane, identifying them as victims, during his court sentencing on October 3rd. This was the first time he had spoken about the case in court.
Combs admitted that the trauma of domestic violence would stay with him for life. He described his behavior as appalling and deeply regrettable, and explained that drug use had left him unable to control his actions. He acknowledged needing help, which he didn’t receive, and stated he wasn’t trying to justify his behavior.
He went on to share how the case has impacted him.
He explained that he was simply trying his best, but got carried away with his ambitions and pride. As a result of his choices, he lost his freedom, couldn’t be present for his children or care for his mother, and lost everything he’d worked for – his businesses, his career, and his good name. Most importantly, he lost respect for himself. He feels completely broken and humbled, admitting he hates what he’s become and has been reduced to nothing.

Judge Arun Subramanian set Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sentencing for October 3, 2025. The judge also refused to grant Combs bail before the sentencing, explaining that his history of violence meant he should stay in jail.

Following the trial, after Sean “Diddy” Combs was acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking charges involving his former partners, Cassie and “Jane,” but convicted of transporting them for the purpose of prostitution, his attorney responded to the jury’s decisions.
Attorney Douglas Wigdor stated on July 2nd that this legal case began when his client, Cassie Ventura, bravely filed a lawsuit in November 2023. While the jury didn’t find enough evidence to convict Combs of sex trafficking, Ventura’s actions allowed them to find him liable for transporting someone for the purpose of prostitution. Wigdor believes Ventura’s courage has significantly impacted both the entertainment world and the pursuit of justice.
Acknowledging the charges against Combs, to which he has pleaded not guilty, attorney Wigdor stated, “We firmly stand with and support our client, who demonstrated remarkable bravery during this legal process.”
Wigdor also commended Ventura for her testimony, as she was one of 34 witnesses during the nearly month-long trial involving Combs.
He stated that she demonstrated incredible courage by exposing the harmful behavior of influential men and the decades of unchecked misconduct. He emphasized that this case clearly shows the need for significant change, and they remain committed to supporting survivors.

When the verdict came in – Combs was found not guilty on three of the five charges against him – he dropped to his knees and bowed his head as if in prayer, according to NBC News reporters who were present in the courtroom. He had faced a potential life sentence if convicted on all counts.
According to reports, Combs’ family members were in the courtroom and reacted with applause and cheers to the outcome. His lawyers embraced each other, and Combs shared a hug with his attorney, Brian Steel.

After three days of discussion, the jury of twelve reached a decision in the sex trafficking trial against Combs on July 2nd. They found him guilty on two counts related to transporting individuals for the purpose of prostitution, involving both a former girlfriend named Ventura and another woman known only as “Jane.”
I was on the edge of my seat during the trial, and honestly, when the verdict came in, I almost couldn’t believe it! Diddy – Sean Combs, I mean – he’d said he wasn’t guilty of everything, and the jury actually agreed with him on the racketeering charge and those awful sex trafficking accusations. It was such a relief, even though there’s still so much to unpack. I’m just so glad he wasn’t convicted of those things!
The jury informed Judge Arun Subramanian they couldn’t agree on the racketeering charge before delivering their final decision, citing strongly held and unchangeable opinions. The judge urged them to keep discussing the case, and they ultimately reached a verdict a few hours later.

During her nearly five-hour closing statement to the jury, prosecutor Christy Slavik asserted that Sean “Diddy” Combs employed intimidation, force, and control to achieve his goals.
She explained that he was impossible to dissuade. He acted as if everything and everyone belonged to him, existing only to fulfill his wishes.
Slavik highlighted two instances of alleged abuse by Combs: a physical assault on his then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in 2016, and a more recent alleged assault in 2024 on a girlfriend who is being referred to as “Jane” throughout the trial.
She explained that although these two events happened eight years apart, they’re connected. She described them as parts of a single, larger story about Sean Combs and the criminal activity he oversaw with the help of those closest to him.
The criminal organization repeatedly fulfilled the defendant’s wishes by systematically using violence, intimidation, and manipulation, she explained. The defendant believed he could cover up his crimes by relying on the silence and shame of others, and he thought his celebrity, money, and influence meant the law wouldn’t apply to him.
Slavik claimed that during the trial, Combs benefited from a large team of assistants dedicated to fulfilling his every need, enhancing his image, and shielding him from any negative publicity.

Okay, so the lawyers are trying to change things with the case! I’ve been following every detail, and it looks like they want to tweak how they’re building their argument about the attempted arson and the kidnapping. It’s like they’re refining their strategy, which honestly, is a little scary because it means they’re getting closer to proving everything. I’m obsessively checking for updates, and this filing is huge – it shows they’re still actively pursuing this, and I need to know exactly what they changed!
Despite still being charged with racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking – including allegations of kidnapping and arson – prosecutors have clarified the charges. In a letter dated June 24th, they stated they’ve removed specific legal instructions related to attempted kidnapping in both California and New York, attempted arson under California law, and assisting with sex trafficking.
The government stated it hopes that using simpler language will make the instructions easier to follow and prevent misunderstandings.

Combs told JudgeSubramanian that he will not take the stand during his sex trafficking trial.
The judge made it clear that whether or not the music executive chose to testify, no one – not even the jurors – could assume his guilt simply because he remained silent.
Combs admitted he discussed with his team whether or not to testify, but insisted the final decision was entirely his own.
“I’ve thought this through carefully, and this is what I’ve decided,” he told the judge. “It’s my decision, and I stand by it.”

Diddy’s lawyer, Teny Garagos, informed the judge that both the defense and prosecution anticipate their closing arguments will each last at least four hours.
After several days of testimony from Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent Joseph Cerciello, the prosecution rested its case on June 24th. Combs’ defense team announced they will rely on the evidence already presented and will not call any witnesses of their own.

During his June 23rd testimony, the jury saw explicit videos presented as evidence. NBC News reporters in the courtroom said these videos appeared to be from parties Sean Combs called “freak offs.”
The agent reported finding 50 explicit videos from 2021 and 2022, but the jury only viewed two of them, using headphones and individual screens.

In voicemails from November 2021 to his former chief of staff, Kristina Khorram, Sean Combs listed specific requests he had while staying at a hotel. These included asking for more baby oil, which he said he often used during moments of intense stress.
He told Khorram to have them call him before starting their journey. Then, seemingly surprised to be out, he added, “Load twenty bottles into the vehicle.”
Khorram also let them know she was staying at the hotel another day, and added, “The baby oil is right outside the door.”
According to text messages, his ex-employee told him she was setting up an IV drip for him and Jane, which he’d previously used to help recover after intense competitions.
She also made sure that there were Plan-B pills, an emergency contraceptive, in his nightstand.

The jury saw text messages exchanged between Combs and Ventura, in which Ventura openly described the emotional and psychological harm she claimed she suffered due to the alleged abuse.
In March 2017, after Combs suggested they take a break from their on-again, off-again relationship (which lasted from 2007 to 2018), Ventura responded that she didn’t want a break. She explained she didn’t want to be criticized for standing up for herself and felt Combs made her feel unimportant.
In another instance, she further accused her ex of physically assaulting her.
In a letter from May, Ventura described a painful experience, writing that despite offering love, she was met with betrayal and physical abuse. She recounted being physically assaulted and dragged by her hair, expressing that the situation had escalated beyond something she could tolerate. She was 30 years old at the time and felt emotionally and perhaps physically devastated, stating she felt disconnected from the experience but found a strange beauty in witnessing her own strength and resilience during the ordeal.

Brendan Paul, who worked as Sean Combs’ assistant from 2022 to 2024, testified that he bought drugs for Combs several times. These drugs included marijuana, 2C, cocaine, ketamine, and ecstasy.
Paul explained that they would contact the drug dealer by text, and the dealer would then come to one of their houses. He said he’d been connected with the dealer through texts or phone calls, and also mentioned being fired from jobs multiple times for things like forgetting his Lululemon fanny pack.
However, Paul vehemently denied being a “drug mule” for the rap mogul.

On June 18th, Judge Subramanian ended court for the day because one of the jurors was unable to return due to illness. Court will also be closed on June 19th for the Juneteenth holiday.
The judge announced that a juror is unwell and unable to attend court. They experienced dizziness and had to leave earlier. Because this juror is part of the main jury panel, the judge stated they won’t be able to continue with the trial today.
The judge acknowledged it’s unknown if the juror’s sudden dizziness, nausea, and headaches will pass quickly or become a lasting problem, and stated they would keep a close watch on the juror’s condition.
Because of the Juneteenth holiday on June 19th, Judge Subramanian announced the trial will continue on June 20th with a shorter schedule, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Just after Judge Subramanian removed Juror No. 6 due to inconsistent statements about where they live, another juror is now potentially facing removal. This juror reportedly discussed the case with a former coworker, and the judge questioned them and asked to examine their phone, according to NBC News.
By the end of the court session on June 16, a decision about whether to dismiss the member hadn’t been reached.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! Kanye was at the courthouse today, showing support for Diddy! I was trying to get a glimpse, of course. He was only there for about half an hour, and he didn’t actually go inside the courtroom – he just hung out in the overflow area where everyone else was waiting. It’s so frustrating, because the actual courtroom is reserved for Diddy’s family, lawyers, and the media… and all us fans who camped out for HOURS! Still, seeing Kanye there was incredible, even if it was just a quick visit. I’m still buzzing!

Jane remembered a fight they had after she took a trip to Las Vegas with a fellow rapper and his wife.
She stated that this behavior escalated to secretly watching sexual activity. Specifically, she described soliciting Anton, a sex worker she and Combs frequently employed, and witnessing a group of people observe him having sex with a woman in a hotel room while they were traveling.
Jane informed Combs’ lawyer, Geragos, that the music executive was angry after he believed she went to a sexually suggestive party with another man.

I’ve been following the Combs trial closely, and today, on day 21, I heard that the prosecution – specifically, Assistant U.S. Attorney Maurene Comey – wants to dismiss one of the jurors. It seems they’re not happy with at least one person on the panel.
She told Judge Subramanian, just before the jury came in, that they were hesitant to submit the letter because it seemed dishonest and raised significant concerns for them.
Defense lawyer Alexandra Shapiro, noting that Juror No. 6 is one of the Black jurors, requested a day or two to prepare a written response and review relevant legal precedents.
Judge Subramanian stated he would postpone addressing any practical issues regarding the juror until a ruling is reached.

On June 10th, Jane and Garagos had a heated discussion where Garagos implied the witness was exchanging sexual favors for expensive gifts.
Attorney Mark Geragos reviewed text messages from November 2021 between Jane and Sean Combs. The messages showed Jane was upset that Combs was having sexual relations with other women, and she specifically asked him if he had given one of them a Chanel bag afterward.
Jane said that she didn’t get a Chanel purse from Combs, telling Garagos that she “got trauma.”
When the attorney asked what a Bottega bag was, she replied, “I’m sure you have one.”
And when Geragos asked how much the item costs, Jane asked, “How much does my body cost?”
Jane was granted a 10-minute break following the exchange.

Jane stated that in approximately 2022, after researching their relationship, she came to believe Combs engaged in, or was interested in, the practice of cuckoldry – where someone derives pleasure from their partner having sexual relations with another person.
She explained her research was motivated by a desire to understand why people enjoyed watching their partners with other men. She wanted to explore all the reasons behind that enjoyment.
The witness suggested that Combs’ interest in arranging private encounters, which closely resembled those described by Ventura, might stem from Combs exploring his own sexual identity.
She explained that some individuals might harbor hidden curiosities they feel embarrassed to explore personally. Instead, they might live out those curiosities through another person, experiencing them vicariously without direct involvement.

Jane stated she’d given the escort, Paul—whom she and Combs hired several times—the nickname “Trifecta,” explaining she likened their sexual relationship to the winning teamwork of famous basketball players.
“I was Kobe Bryant and Paul was Shaq [O’Neil],” she told jurors. “Combs was Michael Jordan.”
Let’s be real, navigating the dating world can be tricky. I’ve heard from women who, when faced with difficult choices, prioritize emotional connection even in unconventional situations. One woman described a past partner, Paul, as genuinely kind, and when discussing past experiences with escorts, she emphasized that, if she had to go that route, she at least wanted someone who felt good to be around – someone with a warm, positive energy. It’s about seeking a human connection, even when circumstances aren’t ideal.

Jane stated that the relationship between Combs and Khorram caused problems in her own romantic relationship with the music executive.
I always felt like Khorram was constantly around Sean, and honestly, it really put a strain on things with us. I truly believe she had a thing for me, and it definitely affected how Sean acted towards me. It was just a difficult situation to be in, knowing she seemed to have such strong feelings and seeing how it played out in our relationship.

On June 10th, Judge Subramanian rejected a request for a mistrial from Combs’ lawyers. They had argued that Ventura and her friend, Bryana Bongolan, falsely claimed Combs had threatened Bongolan by holding her over a balcony on the 17th floor.
His attorneys, who had previously asked the judge to declare a mistrial but were turned down, claimed in a court document that the prosecution acted improperly by presenting false testimony.
According to a recent letter, the government presented evidence in court that they either knew was false or should have known was false. This evidence concerned their claim that Mr. Combs threatened Bryana Bongolan by holding her over the balcony of Cassie Ventura’s apartment in September 2016. Because of this, the letter argues the judge should declare a mistrial to prevent an unfair outcome.

Jane alleged that the rap mogul had beaten her for hours June 2024.
Jane stated that an argument with Combs started because he was seeing a much younger woman – 25 years his junior, she said. This argument escalated, leading Jane to call him a deeply offensive name and physically assault him by pushing his head into a marble countertop.
The witness testified that she hid in the main bedroom and that Sean Combs began to kick the door, damaging it. She stated that while attempting to escape, Combs kicked her in the thigh, causing her to fall. Photos of the damaged door were shown as evidence.
She told the prosecutors that he pinned her to the ground in a chokehold, lifted her off her feet, and she struggled to breathe. She was desperately trying to escape his hold.
Jane stated she fled her house and hid behind an outside wall for about two hours, hoping he would go away, but he didn’t. They then went back to his house, and she says she curled up in the backyard to shield herself while Combs reportedly attacked her.

Jane testified that the fight worsened when Combs supposedly hit her. She told the court he began punching her in the head, then kicked her, and continued to hit her while yelling.
She alleged that he told her that she was “trying to take him away from his kids and his family.”
She testified that she told him, “No, I don’t want that. Please just leave me alone, just go away. Please stop.” She said he then grabbed her arm and hair, and began pulling her back toward the house, dragging her by her hair and arm.
Jane reported that after the incident, she had two raised bumps about the size of golf balls on her forehead and a black eye.

Jane reported that Homeland Security Investigations raided her home—which Sean Combs had paid for in March 2023—as well as several other properties owned by him. She stated that when agents arrived at her house, she immediately contacted Combs’ head of security to inform him of the raid.

In December 2023, Jane claimed a powerful person threatened to share intimate videos of them with the father of her child.
Jane testified that as her relationship with Combs fell apart, he told her he had nothing to lose by releasing the videos. She described it as a relentless series of pressuring phone calls.
Jane texted Khorram about what happened, and this conversation was later used as evidence. In her messages, Jane stated that Combs was threatening to release a video, and she claimed she was “heavily drugged” in it.
She explained she needed space from Combs to heal from the emotional pain he had inflicted.
Jane told the court that Khorram assured her that Combs would not use the footage.

In her testimony, Jane stated that certain claims made in Ventura’s November 2023 lawsuit – which was eventually resolved – reflected her own experiences with Combs.
Wiping away tears, she told the jury, “I nearly passed out, I think I actually did.” She explained that three particular pages contained deeply upsetting details that mirrored what she was going through.
As a longtime follower, I was so moved by Jane’s account of participating in those ‘hotel nights’ revelations. She actually said it felt like she was reading her own story unfold, which is incredibly powerful. It clearly empowered her to directly confront Sean Combs about it all, and she did that through text messages. It was amazing to witness.
After Ventura filed her lawsuit, the woman wrote, according to evidence presented, that reading it felt like reliving her own sexual trauma. She described feeling deeply disturbed, stating the lawsuit detailed – almost verbatim – the painful experiences of substance abuse and the nights she spent struggling. She accused Ventura of anticipating this outcome and of manipulating her, leading her to question her own sanity.
Honestly, reading those messages broke my heart. She said she was completely disgusted, like she was forced into things one after another, and it just…it ruined her. She kept saying I made her question her own feelings about what happened, about the trauma she was dealing with. It was like I made her feel crazy for feeling the way she did. She said she felt completely violated, and that what I did was just… exploitation. It’s awful to even think about, and I’m just devastated knowing I caused her that much pain.
I was absolutely shocked when I learned that Combs secretly recorded a phone call with Jane! He hadn’t told her he was recording it, and that recording was actually used as evidence. During the call, he kept hinting at things they’d done together and strongly implied he needed her to confirm his version of events – it was really unsettling to hear.
Unaware she was being recorded, Jane told Combs she felt nauseous after reviewing Ventura’s documents.

Jane stated that during her involvement with Combs and male escorts in events called “Hotel Nights,” she frequently used ecstasy. However, on one occasion, she chose to remain drug-free while engaging in sexual activity with three men.
She testified that she had been with several men earlier that night. She vomited, and then Sean entered the room, offering comfort and suggesting they go outside, saying, ‘You’ll feel better now. Let’s go outside.’
Jane said that at the end of the night, she felt “absolutely terrible.”
