All Powerful Marvel Character To Return in VisionQuest Series

Marvel Studios has hinted at the return of a very powerful character in the upcoming VisionQuest series. This new Disney+ show, created by Terry Matalas (known for Star Trek: Picard), will continue the story started in WandaVision and lay the groundwork for big events to come in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to a recent report from industry source @MyTimeToShineHello, the upcoming Disney+ series, “Vision Quest,” will connect to both the “Champions” storyline and the larger “Secret Wars” event. The series will also feature the return of Wanda Maximoff. Confirmed at New York Comic-Con 2025, “Vision Quest” is a continuation of “WandaVision” and “Agatha All Along,” with eight episodes overseen by showrunner Terry Matalas. Paul Bettany will reprise his role as White Vision when the show premieres in 2026.

Marvel Studios is calling the upcoming series VisionQuest the end of the story that began with WandaVision, and it will center on Vision’s attempt to regain his lost feelings. According to actor Paul Bettany, White Vision remembers things, but struggles to connect emotionally – and that’s the core of his story. The series will also bring back James Spader as Ultron, and feature human versions of Tony Stark’s AI assistants like J.A.R.V.I.S. and F.R.I.D.A.Y., along with new characters such as Tommy Maximoff, played by Ruaridh Mollica.

At New York Comic-Con 2025, it was revealed that actor Evan Mollica will play Billy Maximoff, the reincarnated version of Wanda and Vision’s son, Speed. His twin brother, Tommy, will also appear, along with Agatha Harkness (played by Kathryn Hahn), as they continue their search. This storyline is expected to connect to Marvel’s future Champions project, which will focus on a team of young heroes like Wiccan and Speed.

According to Marvel insiders, Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff will continue to be a key character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The upcoming show is designed to pave the way for her return, connecting directly to the storylines of Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars. It will also bring a conclusion to the Maximoff family’s story, which has been unfolding throughout Phase 6 of the MCU.
