Sony is releasing a less expensive version of the PlayStation 5 in Japan, but it will only support a limited number of languages.
This system is designed to work exclusively with Japanese PlayStation Network accounts and supports only the Japanese language. It offers 825GB of storage.
The latest PlayStation console hasn’t been performing as well as the Nintendo Switch in its home market, but the upcoming model – releasing November 21st – appears to be a direct response to Nintendo’s strategy.
The new system will cost around ¥55,000 (about $350), which is considerably cheaper than the current Digital Edition price of ¥72,980 (around $473).

Pre-orders for the PlayStation Digital Edition in Japan start November 13th. Sony is hoping this will boost console sales in the country, especially after several price hikes over the past few years.
