The Toys are back!

It’s hard not to love the Toy Story movies, and now we have a first look at the next chapter with the new Toy Story 5 trailer.

What’s Toy Story 5 about?

The latest preview introduces Lilypad, a smart tablet shaped like a frog and voiced by Greta Lee (known from “TRON: Ares”). Lilypad complicates things for Buzz, Woody, Jessie, and the others as they face a brand new challenge to playtime.

Who provide the voices this time around?

Tom Hanks is back as Woody, and Tim Allen returns as Buzz Lightyear for the latest installment. Joan Cusack reprises her role as Jessie, and Tony Hale once again voices Forky. Joining the cast is Conan O’Brien, who will voice the new character, Smarty Pants, a tech toy designed to help with potty training.

Directors Andrew Stanton and Kenna Harris say they had a lot of fun and emotional moments while imagining how the classic toys from their series would react to modern technology. They’re excited to finally share a sneak peek with viewers, and they especially praise Greta Lee’s performance as Lilypad, noting her ability to be both funny and heartfelt.

The next Toy Story movie will be directed by Andrew Stanton, who previously directed acclaimed films like WALL•E, Finding Nemo, and Finding Dory. Kenna Harris (Ciao Alberto) will co-direct, and Lindsey Collins, a producer on Turning Red, WALL•E, and Finding Dory, will produce.

Toy Story 5 will be released in cinemas nationwide on 19th June 2026.
