A new episode of South Park Season 28 is on the way, and it looks like Butters is getting into trouble again – this time with artificial intelligence. While Season 28 is technically new, the story is continuing directly from Season 27, which began airing earlier this summer. Butters has already been a key character in recent episodes, and it seems he’ll be the focus of this next one.
The new episode of South Park, Season 28 Episode 3, premieres on Comedy Central Wednesday, November 12th at 10 PM Eastern Time. A sneak peek reveals Butters will get into trouble after using artificial intelligence to create fake videos of his classmates. Considering South Park‘s history with AI, the outcome could be unpredictable. You can see a preview below.
How to Watch South Park Season 28 Episode 3
The new episode of South Park, titled “Sora Not Sorry,” will air on Comedy Central on Wednesday, November 12th at 10 PM Eastern Time. It will then be available to stream exclusively on Paramount+. The episode centers around Butters’ plan for revenge going wrong, which causes a wave of fake videos at school and makes it difficult for Detective Harris to distinguish what’s real. While Butters often finds himself in chaotic situations, this episode suggests a more assertive side to his character, building on his recent character development.
Butters is usually the target of jokes because he accidentally gets into trouble while trying to do something good, like we saw in the episode with Labubu earlier this year. However, recent episodes have given this a new twist. Now, Butters is getting into these messes because of his own actions – specifically, he’s using A.I. to create fake videos as revenge. And, as usual, this is probably going to cause a much larger problem.
What’s Next for South Park Season 28?
The current season of South Park is almost over, with just two episodes left to air in 2025. These will be broadcast on Wednesday, November 26th, and Wednesday, December 10th, following some earlier scheduling changes. While the details are still unknown, it’s expected these episodes will likely wrap up the season-long storyline involving Trump and Satan.
Cartman’s involvement in this storyline, stemming from the recent trend, is still unclear, and we don’t yet know how he’ll play a role in the Anti-Christ’s birth. While the creators of South Park don’t usually plan long, ongoing narratives, they’ve proven they can deliver a fantastic story when they do. Now, the question is whether they can successfully conclude this one.
