Please be aware that this article reveals major plot points from the Demon Slayer manga! The first film in the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle series has been a huge success, with fans loving its exciting and visually stunning adaptation of the manga’s most popular story arc. The Demon Slayer manga finished in 2020, and now the anime is finally concluding the story too. The anime will cover the Infinity Castle Arc in three films, and there’s currently no information about whether the Sunrise Countdown Arc will be adapted. So far, Ufotable hasn’t announced when the next two films will be released.
The first part of this series includes some truly amazing battles, but the story is far from finished. Our heroes are still lost in a never-ending maze, and the villain, Muzan Kibutsuki, is trying to reverse the effects of a drug he was given. While excitement for the next installments is incredibly high, fans seem to be overlooking a significant issue that could lead to disappointment.
Tanjiro Won’t Be Included in the Upcoming Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Films

At the beginning of the Infinity Castle Arc, Tanjiro Kamado and Giyu Tomioka fight together against Akaza, a powerful demon. Their teamwork is incredible, and it really showcases how much Tanjiro has improved throughout the series. Even Akaza is surprised by Tanjiro’s increased strength. Fighting a high-ranking demon like this is incredibly exhausting, and it’s a huge challenge for the Demon Slayers to win. This is particularly true when facing the strongest demons, which is why Tanjiro and Giyu were barely able to survive their battle with Akaza.
Giyu managed to unlock his Demon Slayer Mark, but during the fight, Tanjiro discovered a strange new ability – he could suddenly see inside living things, like how blood flows and muscles move. Both fighters were badly hurt and passed out from losing too much blood and being completely exhausted. Despite this, the battle isn’t over, as demons are still roaming the castle and other Demon Slayers are still fighting.
The next two movies in the series will feature battles within the castle, but Tanjiro won’t be involved. He’ll return to fight Muzan during the “Sunrise Countdown” arc. While fans love Tanjiro, it might be a letdown not to see him in these two films. However, the “Infinity Castle” arc promises to be exciting, giving other Demon Slayers a chance to shine after being less featured in the first movie.
