PM Studios and Pixel Maniacs have announced that the puzzle-shooter ChromaGun 2: Dye Hard will be released on February 12, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC. You’ll be able to buy the game digitally and as a physical copy on consoles, and it will also be available through Steam and the Epic Games Store on PC. This is the first announcement of console versions.
According to Pixel Maniacs CEO Benjamin Lochmann, the new game, Dye Hard, takes everything players enjoyed about the original – its smart humor, challenging puzzles, and vibrant look – and amplifies it. He says Dye Hard is a larger, more ambitious game that will really push players’ skills in color matching and problem-solving. The development team is excited to see how quickly and creatively players can complete the game.
PM Studios CEO Michael Yum stated that ChromaGun 2: Dye Hard is a unique and inventive game that adds a new level of creativity to their lineup. He expressed pride in offering a physical copy for fans of clever game design, calling it a must-have for collectors.

About
ChromaGun 2: Dye Hard is a puzzle-shooter played from a first-person perspective, and it’s all about colors! You use a special gun, the ChromaGun, to paint walls and robots. Robots stick to walls that match their color. The game combines challenging puzzles with a funny story about friendship, making amends, and exploring different universes – all while you avoid dangerous floors and angry robots, and figure out how colors mix!
Key Features
- A One-of-a-Kind Tool – The ChromaGun: Wield the titular “ChromaGun,” a versatile paint-gun used to shoot primary colors onto surfaces and objects, mixing them to manipulate the environment
- Magnetoid Chromatism – Master the key mechanic of “Magnetoid Chromatism”—a proprietary concept where Droids and other objects are magnetically attracted to walls of the same color.
- Multiverse Puzzles – Travel through time and space across different dimensions and parallel universes, each introducing new physics and increasingly complex mechanics.
- State of the Art Accessibility – Pixel Maniacs developed a unique accessibility game mode overlaying symbols on colored objects to help color blind players to enjoy the game too! With this well-thought feature, ChromaGun 2: Dye Hard won the “Horizon Award” for Technical Innovation at GG Bavaria 2025!
