Jen Affleck Reacts to Criticism Over Zac Affleck Relationship

Jen Affleck isn’t grooving with the negative takes about Zac Affleck.

Following public attention during her appearance on Dancing With the Stars, star of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives addressed the discussions surrounding her and her husband, with whom she shares three children: Nora, 4, Lucas, 2, and Penelope, 4 months.

Honestly, it really gets to me hearing the same criticisms over and over – it’s just exhausting. I was talking with Will Marfuggi and Jessi Ngatikaura from TopMob News about it, and I realized I always try to remember that people are always going to talk and have opinions. But it’s especially tough for him when people don’t understand everything he’s doing behind the scenes – all the hard work and effort he puts in. It’s frustrating when that’s not recognized.

Zac was very upset with fans of Dancing With the Stars after his wife and her professional partner, Jan Ravnik, were eliminated last month. He strongly criticized a fan who posted a video suggesting he was secretly glad his wife was gone, calling them “disgusting” and telling them to “grow up.”

Jen explained that they’re trying to help him focus and not get overwhelmed by distractions, and it’s still proving difficult.

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old is still getting used to being a public figure herself.

She explained that it’s draining to constantly see negative comments on her phone and difficult to ignore them. Even if someone says they don’t care, it’s natural to be affected on some level. To cope, she reminds herself that she shares her experiences and then needs to disconnect. Her priority is focusing on personal growth, and that’s what truly matters.

Jen recently admitted her husband, Zac, is likely correct in believing their relationship would be better without the pressure of their Hulu show and the attention from “MomTok” – the parenting community on TikTok. The entire third season of their series became available today, November 13th.

Nevertheless, she wouldn’t trade where the couple are right now.

She reflected on how much they’d changed. She explained that without the support of the online ‘Momtok’ community and the show, they wouldn’t have faced – and overcome – the challenges of the past year. While it was incredibly difficult and almost pushed them to their limit, she believed it ultimately made them stronger.

For Jen, putting their relationship out there has more pros than cons.

We all have a lot to learn from one another, and our group has valuable insights to share with the world. While this process won’t be simple and may create some difficulties and discomfort, that’s often where the greatest growth happens. Even with challenges and occasional conflict, a lot of good can come from it.
