2026 Game Was Accidentally Released Early on PS Store

A highly anticipated game scheduled for release in early 2026 unexpectedly appeared on the PlayStation Store. While early releases are rare – games are usually delayed, not launched ahead of schedule – some players were able to discover and briefly play the game. It seems the listing was likely a mistake, even though the game itself appears to be fully prepared for launch.

On November 14, 2025, the game Starseed Island unexpectedly showed up on the PlayStation store. It wasn’t scheduled for release until February 1, 2026, so its early appearance was probably an error. The game was listed for an odd price of $42.49 and was quickly removed after a few hours, but not before some players were able to buy and play it. Reports on X (formerly Twitter) suggest that Starseed Island was a fully playable game, not a demo or test version.

A player named @Renka_schedule shared their experiences on X after trying out the game. They confirmed that character creation and the player’s home are working correctly – the home even includes a double bed right away! They were also able to use an axe for gathering wood and befriended two NPCs named Azusa and Mio, who are both currently listed as single. The game features six levels of affection with NPCs, ranging from friendship to eventually living together. It looks like the release date for Starseed Island, February 1st, is still accurate, as Seed Labs quickly addressed any incorrect information.
