Astro From Barrage Comes to My Hero Academia

While My Hero Academia brought Horikoshi a lot of recognition, it wasn’t his first manga with Shonen Jump. He previously created Barrage, which began running in 2012 but was quickly cancelled after only 16 chapters because it didn’t gain popularity. Barrage featured a story about a young, impoverished boy who battles aliens and eventually swaps lives with a prince who looks identical to him. Interestingly, the character design for Astro in Barrage is the same as it is in My Hero Academia, creating a neat connection between Horikoshi’s earlier and later work.

A significant appearance in the latest episode of My Hero Academia strongly suggests the anime is nearing its conclusion. With only four episodes remaining, fans are hoping the anime adaptation will be able to cover all the important story arcs from the manga, including the chapters released as an epilogue after the original manga finished.
