The commentator initially mentioned hearing rumors from a reliable source, as noted on Reddit after a podcast interview. However, he later stated on X (formerly Twitter) that those rumors are quite uncertain. It’s up to you to decide what that means.
During a conversation about Sony, James Corden said a source told him that PlayStation likely won’t be releasing as many games on computers in the future.
Following discoveries made within the PS5’s system code last week, players found an icon suggesting “Cross-Buy” functionality, hinting at a possible launcher that would allow PlayStation games to be played on PC.
Corden has explained that this information isn’t a genuine leak or a serious issue, and even if it were true, it would likely only affect single-player games.
Sony has signaled a shift in strategy by removing goals related to making money from games on platforms other than PlayStation. This suggests they’re no longer focused on expanding game sales beyond their consoles.
