Sophie Grégoire Trudeau Reacts to Justin Trudeau, Katy Perry Romance

Sophie Grégoire Trudeau is keeping her priorities straight.

The motivational speaker, who split from Justin Trudeau in 2023, discussed how she deals with his public life, especially given recent rumors of a relationship between him and Katy Perry.

She explained to Arlene Dickinson on the November 12th episode of the Arlene Is Alone podcast that, as people, we’re naturally affected by things that happen. However, she believes how we respond is up to us, and she personally chooses to focus on the positive aspects rather than dwelling on negativity – to ‘listen to the music instead of the noise.’

Arlene didn’t say Katy Perry’s name directly, but she commented on how public Justin Bieber is being with his new relationship, following jokes about both his and Sophie Turner’s dating lives after their split. As Justin appears to be getting closer to Katy, Sophie is concentrating on her own personal development.

She acknowledged that a lot of public information can be upsetting for some people, but emphasized that how she responds to it is her own choice.

Sophie, a mother of three – Xavier, 18, Ella-Grace, 16, and Hadrien, 11 – shared details about how she and her ex-husband, Justin, successfully coparent. They both agree that their children’s well-being comes first.

Indeed, despite their split, Sophie and Justin continue to operate as a singular family unit.

She explained that while they live independent lives, they prioritize family. She emphasized the importance of a shared commitment to nurturing their family, regardless of their individual goals and paths, viewing it as their most important achievement.

“It’s not always easy to live,” Sophie added, “but it’s very adult.”

There’s absolutely no chance they’re getting back together. She gets the updated, more aware Jimmy. I only got the Jimmy from The Man Show.”

Honestly, as a longtime fan, I was still a little heartbroken over Anna Faris and Chris Pratt’s split when I heard the news about Chris and Katherine Schwarzenegger. It surprised me how gracious Anna was – she actually offered to officiate their wedding! And even after they had their daughter, Lyla, in 2020, Anna sent a gift. I remember reading that she was genuinely happy for Chris and Jack, her son, to become a big brother, and a source said she was very supportive of the whole family. It just showed what a kind person she is, even after everything.

Okay, so Nina and Ian broke up back in 2013 – after three years, can you believe it?! But honestly, they stayed friends, which is… fine, I guess. Then, in 2014, Ian started dating Nikki Reed – Nikki Reed! They got married so quickly, it was crazy. And of course, Nina became friends with her too. It’s just… a lot to process, you know? I still ship Nina and Ian, obviously, but I try to be happy for everyone. It’s just… hard!
