The world of Demon Slayer is a dangerous place, constantly shadowed by the threat of death and filled with terrifying creatures that emerge from the darkness. While the Twelve Kizuki are the most powerful demons, representing the height of demonic strength and brutality, many other demons wander Japan, attacking humans. Even the weakest of these creatures is incredibly strong and possesses frightening abilities far beyond those of a normal person, making them a serious threat to any Demon Slayer who isn’t well-trained.
When Demon Slayers first begin their training, they often face weaker demons. These battles aren’t just about saving people – they’re also crucial for developing the skills needed to survive in a dangerous world.
7) Yahaba (Arrow Demon)

Yahaba was a demon defeated by Tanjiro during his search for Lady Tamayo. He was known for his unusual Blood Demon Art, which involved controlling arrows with the eyes on his palms.
Yahaba is powerful because he can control things from a distance, but he isn’t very good at fighting up close. He depends on using outside forces instead of his own strength, which made him weak once Tanjiro figured out how to get around his control.
6) Kyogai (Drum Demon)

Kyogai used to be one of the Twelve Kizuki, but he lost his position because he couldn’t consume enough human blood to continue getting stronger. He then moved to a house, hoping to attract new victims. Inside, he could manipulate the rooms and launch powerful attacks using the drums built into his body and his sharp claws.
Kyogai’s Blood Demon Art was incredibly frightening, letting him manipulate the area around him. However, he wasn’t strong or fast physically. Because his attacks only covered a small area, a quick and determined fighter like Tanjiro could avoid the traps of his constantly changing mansion and attack Kyogai directly, ultimately defeating him.
5) Mother (Spider Demon)

I witnessed a terrifying figure on Mount Natagumo, a woman who seemed forced into the role of a Spider Family member. She didn’t fight directly, but controlled others with incredibly strong threads attached to her handmade puppets. It was horrifying – she could manipulate both corpses and living Demon Slayers, turning their friends and comrades against them. She was a real danger to the lower ranks, using their own allies as weapons.
Her abilities relied on delicate, thread-like connections, which weren’t very strong and needed her constant focus on whoever she was targeting. Additionally, her fear of intense combat and reluctance to fight made her vulnerable to mental attacks, causing her to become paralyzed when facing a powerful opponent like a Hashira.
4) Susamaru (Temari Demon)

Susamaru worked with Yahaba and was a mischievous demon who could use her Blood Demon Art to summon and control six powerful, spiked balls. She was incredibly strong, allowing her to throw these balls with enough force to destroy buildings and defeat enemies.
Her biggest weakness wasn’t simply her overconfidence or immaturity, but the way her power relied on her arms. Once she lost an arm, she could no longer control or create energy blasts, leading to her swift defeat.
3) Daughter (Spider Demon)

A central figure in the Spider Family, the Daughter Demon used strong silk to hold and paralyze her victims. She would capture and completely immobilize them before dissolving them with her deadly spider venom.
She prefers to fight defensively, trying to stop opponents from far away using venom and restraints. However, this approach didn’t work well against Shinobu, who was too fast and skilled to be caught in her traps. Shinobu could easily avoid the restraints and attack before they fully secured her.
2) Swamp Demon

Tanjiro faced this demon early in his travels. It could split into three bodies and trap people inside a horrifying realm of blood and mud. Within this space, it would drown and confuse its victims before killing them, remaining unseen by anyone outside.
I observed that even though the demon could create copies of himself and disappear into his swamp-like realm, his real body was surprisingly fragile. What’s more, his special powers only worked well within that watery environment; away from the swamp, on dry land, he wasn’t nearly as powerful.
1) Enmu

Enmu quickly rose in power, becoming Lower Rank One of the Twelve Kizuki after receiving a large amount of Muzan’s blood. His unique ability allowed him to trap people in a deep sleep filled with terrifying nightmares, effectively destroying their minds.
Looking back, I think Enmu’s biggest mistake was just how sure of himself he was! He really thought becoming one with the Mugen Train would make him unbeatable. But honestly, it was a huge blunder. By tying himself to something so massive and stationary, he basically painted a target on his neck! It made it so much easier for Tanjiro and the others to figure out where his weak spot was and take him down.
