Last night’s Monday Night Raw was held at Madison Square Garden in New York City, and WWE always aims to make shows at this iconic venue particularly memorable. This episode delivered on that promise, building excitement for the upcoming WarGames match with a dramatic ending that included the return of two major stars. It sets the stage for what’s expected to be a fantastic WarGames showdown.
Tonight’s Monday Night Raw ended with a face-off between the two teams set to compete in the upcoming WarGames match. Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Drew McIntyre, and Logan Paul stood opposite CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, and Jimmy Uso. However, the show revealed the final two participants: Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. This addition makes it one of the most impressive men’s WarGames lineups ever assembled.
The two four-person teams immediately started fighting once the match began, and things quickly became very chaotic. CM Punk briefly regained control, but then Brock Lesnar’s theme song hit, signaling his return to WWE for the first time since his match against John Cena at WrestlePalooza.
As a huge wrestling fan, I was on the edge of my seat when Lesnar stormed the ring and immediately hit both Punk and Rhodes with suplexes. But the tables turned fast when Roman Reigns’ music blasted through the arena! He’s been away filming the Street Fighter movie, so it was great to see him back. Lesnar went for a knockout punch, but Reigns was too quick, dodging it and delivering a devastating Superman Punch that sent Lesnar tumbling out of the ring!
Reed unexpectedly attacked Reigns from behind and tried to hit his signature Tsunami move by dragging him to the ropes, but Reigns countered with a Superman Punch, sending Reed to the floor. This led to a chaotic scene where security, including the NYPD, struggled to control the crowd as a brawl broke out. Meanwhile, Punk was hitting Paul with a Kendo stick, and Reigns quickly speared Reed, sending him crashing through the barricade.
Things were incredibly hectic, but in a good way! Now that the teams are finalized, this WarGames match has the potential to be one of the greatest ever – and could even be the best if it lives up to expectations. The teams are set: CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and The Usos (Jimmy & Jey) against Bron Breakker, Drew McIntyre, Brock Lesnar, and Paul. Many of these competitors haven’t been in a WarGames match before, which promises a truly exciting and unpredictable showdown.
WWE Survivor Series streams live on ESPN DTC on November 29 at 3:30 PM PT.
