Even though Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas performed incredibly well, they unfortunately won’t be advancing to the final round of Dancing With the Stars.
Despite earning the third-highest score of the night – 58 points – after dancing a cha cha to “1999” and a Viennese waltz to “Slow Love,” the pair were eliminated during the semi-finals of the ABC show on November 18th, which had a Prince theme.
Whitney shared, “I feel amazing – like I’ve already won! This show has been incredible and truly changed my life. I’m so thankful for everything.”
Mark added, “I had the best time. I love this show.”
The ballroom was filled with emotion on Tuesday night. Alix Earle became tearful after receiving heartfelt compliments, and Jordan Chiles cried tears of joy after earning her first perfect score of 30. The Olympic gymnast shared with Julianne Hough that she felt a younger version of herself would be incredibly proud.
Dylan Efron received support from his brother, Zac Efron, who came to his first “Dancing With the Stars” taping to encourage him after appearing on “The Traitors.”
The competition is fierce as the final five contestants—Alix, Jordan, Dylan, Robert Irwin, and Elaine Hendrix—vie for the Mirrorball trophy on November 25th in the season 34 finale of Dancing with the Stars.
With the competition getting tighter as the finals approach, several popular contestants have been eliminated. Most recently, Andy Richter and Emma Slater were the eighth couple voted off during the November 11th episode.
Honestly, hearing Andy talk about leaving the show really struck a chord with me. He said it completely changed his life, and I could feel the sincerity in his voice. He described himself as a different person because of the experience and, especially, because of one woman involved. It was fascinating to hear him admit she really understood him and knew how to bring out his best – or, well, whatever she needed from him. It just goes to show how powerful these relationships can be, even within the context of a show!
