A big update for Ghost of Tsushima on PS5 is coming next week, November 24th. It will include New Game+, a new shopkeeper, cosmetic items, and the ability to track your game stats, among other improvements.
So, the game just got updated to version 1.1, and the biggest news is New Game+! I’m super excited because I can jump right back into the game from the main menu with all my awesome gear and upgrades from my first playthrough. That means I don’t have to grind to get everything again before tackling Ezo. They’re also adding some tougher difficulty levels for those of us who want a real challenge, and there are two new Trophies to hunt down, which is always a plus!

You’ll now be able to rewatch and replay content, and your performance will be tracked. The latest trailer shows a duel you can play again and again, with the game recording how quickly you win. Plus, all weapons and armor will get an extra upgrade level, making these challenges a bit easier.
Update 1.1 introduces a new vendor and lets you earn over 30 new cosmetic items – like outfits, weapon colors, and charms – by collecting Ghost Flowers. Plus, the in-game Photo Mode is getting improved settings and filters, and you’ll now be able to customize button controls for better accessibility.
In a recent PlayStation Blog post, Andrew Goldfarb announced new features and expressed excitement about seeing players’ creations in Photo Mode. He also shared gratitude for the support Ghost of Yōtei has received since its launch last month. The team hopes players, both returning and new, will enjoy exploring Ezo, and they’re looking forward to sharing more with the “Ghost of Yōtei Legends” update in 2026. Thanks for playing!
