How Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s Kids Help Prepare for Thanksgiving

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are building royally sweet holiday memories with their kids.

Before Thanksgiving, Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, often gather herbs in their garden at their Montecito, California home with their children, Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4, to get ready for the holiday season.

Meghan’s lifestyle company recently shared that her founder loves sage. According to a newsletter sent on November 18th, as reported by People magazine, the beautiful purple flowers often seen in Meghan’s Instagram posts aren’t lavender – they’re actually flowering sage, a variety known as Santa Barbara.

What makes Meghan, 44, especially proud of her company’s holiday product, Sage Honey with Honeycomb, is the chance to share it – and the memories created – with her family, including their two dogs.

The newsletter described idyllic walks with Archie and Lili running ahead, her husband tending to the bees, and their dogs, Pula and Mia, playing nearby. These sun-filled moments transformed ordinary walks into something special, enhanced by the calming scent of sage and other flowers in the garden.

Meghan Markle has often shared moments of her outdoor life with her children, and recently she did so again. To celebrate International Day of the Girl, she posted a video on Instagram of her daughter Lilibet happily running across a large lawn. Another photo showed Meghan and Lilibet holding hands, with Meghan looking at her daughter with affection.

She celebrated International Day of the Girl on October 11th with a message for all girls: the world is yours! She encouraged them to fight for their rights, speak up, and support one another, promising reciprocal support. She emphasized that empowering girls is both a right and a shared duty, ending with an enthusiastic call to action.

Everyone knows this mother of two believes in limiting screen time and encouraging outdoor activities. She’s also openly shared her concerns about when her kids will be old enough to use social media.

Meghan shared with the audience that her children, Archie and Lili, are only 6 and 4 years old, saying, ‘Can you believe it?’ She was relieved they are currently too young to be on social media. She said this while accepting the Humanitarians of the Year award at Project Healthy Minds’ 2025 World Mental Health Day Gala on October 9th.

She continued, saying that day is inevitably approaching. Like many parents, they spend a lot of time considering how to help their children enjoy the advantages of technology while also protecting them from its risks. However, the idea of completely separating those benefits from the dangers is quickly becoming unrealistic.

At the gala, Harry and Meghan were recognized for their work with the Archewell Foundation, which recently launched a program to support parents dealing with the effects of social media on their families. Meghan, a long-time champion of mental health and anti-bullying initiatives, emphasized that creating a safer internet is achievable.

We’ve witnessed this issue and it’s getting worse. With your help, we can keep working to create a safer online environment for our kids. My husband and I are so grateful for your presence here tonight, and we thank you all for your support and commitment to this important cause.
