Though fans are eagerly awaiting the next season of Virgin River, a similar show is returning to television in just a few months. Virgin River has found success as an adaptation of Robyn Carr’s books, but it’s not the only one – another adaptation of her novels is also available.
The CW has announced its mid-season schedule, and fans of Robyn Carr adaptations have reason to celebrate! Before the seventh season of Virgin River arrives, season 3 of Sullivan’s Crossing will be shown on The CW. Starting Monday, January 26th at 9 p.m. Eastern Time, after Wild Cards finishes airing, The CW will broadcast repeat episodes of Sullivan’s Crossing.
Season 3 of Sullivan’s Crossing originally aired on The CW in mid-2025, and the network is bringing it back to re-air episodes while fans anticipate season 4. Season 4, which features three new cast members, is scheduled to premiere in 2026.

Season 3 of Sullivan’s Crossing took some bold creative risks, moving further away from the original Carr novels than ever before. While the season continued the love story of Maggie Sullivan (Morgan Kohan) and Cal Jones (Chad Michael Murray), it also gave other characters a chance to shine.
Season 3 of Sullivan’s Crossing really brought the town of Timberlake to life, and season 4 is shaping up to be even more dramatic. The shocking reveal of Maggie’s previous marriage at the end of last season will definitely have a big impact, especially on her relationships with Cal and Liam Davies (Marcus Rosner).
Even though season 3 of Sullivan’s Crossing has been out for a while, it’s a good opportunity for new viewers to discover the show now that it’s airing again on The CW. With the show Wild Cards, starring Vanessa Morgan and Giacomo Gianniotti, leading into it, Sullivan’s Crossing could attract a lot of new fans during this second run on The CW.
Re-airing the latest season is a great way to refresh the memories of existing fans and introduce the story to new viewers. As season 3 of Sullivan’s Crossing repeats, it also offers something for those eagerly awaiting the return of Virgin River.
