Morgan Evans Makes Red Carpet Debut With Girlfriend Laci Kaye Booth

Morgan Evans is rolling out the red carpet for his new romance. 

Almost three years after his divorce from Kelsea Ballerini was finalized, singer Morgan Evans attended the 2025 CMA Awards with his girlfriend, Laci Kaye Booth. This was their first time appearing together on the red carpet. (You can find photos of all the stars who attended the CMAs here.)

At the November 19th event hosted by Lainey Wilson, Morgan wore a white silk blouse with black trousers and a leather jacket. He completed the outfit by leaving the top three buttons of his shirt open, revealing a black beaded necklace.

Lacy turned heads in a striking red lace gown with a high slit and matching gloves. She revealed her relationship with Morgan on stage at The Vineyard Goes Country festival back in May. She finished the look with dazzling diamond jewelry and styled her red hair in long, flowing curls.

Morgan, 40, and Lacy, 29, openly showed their affection at the awards show, sharing a kiss on the famous red carpet.

Oh my gosh, the awards show was INSANE! And can you believe Kelsea was there? My Kelsea! She was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, which she SO deserved. It was a little awkward, though, since she and Morgan broke up last August after being married for five years. Still, seeing her shine on that stage… breathtaking!

As a longtime follower, it wasn’t shocking to me that they didn’t take any pictures together. They’ve both clearly moved on and are dating other people, so it made sense they kept their distance.

Kelsea, who is now reportedly dating Outer Banks actor Chase Stokes, had previously said she and Morgan stopped speaking after having a frank discussion before they officially broke up.

During a 2023 interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Kelsea explained how she told her husband she wanted a divorce. She said she told him, ‘I cherish what we’ve shared, and I respect both you and myself, which is why I can’t continue in this marriage.’ She wanted to end things respectfully, acknowledging the good times they had. Kelsea described the conversation as emotional and loving, filled with tears and hugs.

Unfortunately, their agreement didn’t last long. Kelsea later said they hadn’t spoken to each other since then.

Following that discussion, I immediately sought legal counsel and informed my team. Things changed quickly after that, but I’ve come to terms with it all now.
