It looks like EastEnders has revealed who’s behind the threats against Zoe Slater, but viewers suspect it might be a deliberate mislead.
Zoe has been targeted by a hateful and upsetting campaign for several weeks. It started with her photos being vandalized with fake blood, and then continued with mysterious sounds coming from the storage area behind the Queen Vic pub.
To make matters worse, her cat, Mini Mo, disappeared, only to be found later hiding in a carrier under the bed.

When her mother, Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace), and stepfather, Alfie (Shane Richie), didn’t believe what she was saying, Zoe made up another story and ripped up a bunch of family photos.
This week, while Alfie was feeling unsure about things, the three of them were surprised by another problem at the barrel store. It was obvious someone had been inside, and they’d left a threatening message spray-painted on the door.
Now that it was clear someone was deliberately going after Zoe, Kat and Alfie had to stand by her.
Today on the show, Alfie discovered a paint-marked earring in the alley behind the pub. Zoe was determined to find the owner, believing it belonged to Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig).
Acting impulsively, she broke a window in Vicki’s door and entered the house. While searching through Vicki’s jewelry, she couldn’t find a pair to match, and was quickly discovered by Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth).

She walked Zoe home, and Kat said she was sorry for the problems she’d caused. They both knew if they wanted to understand what really happened, they needed to handle things carefully.
Later that night, the person responsible surprisingly revealed themselves to Kat and Alfie – it was Jean Slater (Gillian Wright)!
She thanked them for finding her missing earring, but is she really the one coming after Zoe?
