On the latest season of the Hulu series, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, star Meri Brown revealed she had an emotional connection with Vanderpump Villa’s Marciano Brunette and confessed this to her husband, Jordan Ngatikaura. Now, she’s discussing how people have reacted to her being so open about it.

It’s been challenging since the show premiered,” Jessi shared in a TikTok video on November 20th. “I’ve been busy with interviews and promotion, and I’ve had to put on a brave face. Jordan and I both anticipated the show’s release, but it’s still difficult dealing with the criticism and opinions that come with it.

The 33-year-old responded to her critics, but also took a moment to thank the people who had supported her online.

I’ve been overwhelmed by the love, and while I can’t always reply to every message, please know that I see it all and I truly appreciate each and every one of you. Jessi explained that she and Jordan chose to be open about the problems in their marriage, hoping it would help them work through things. However, she admitted it’s been harder than they anticipated.

I’ve received a lot of encouraging messages, which is why we decided to share what happened. It’s been really embarrassing and difficult having everything made public. This experience has definitely made me much more understanding of anyone on my show who’s faced negativity or a tough situation.

The TikTok mom recognized that some viewers found Jordan’s behavior on the show unpleasant, even calling him names. However, she hopes people will avoid sending him hateful messages.

We need to own up to our mistakes and learn from them, but that doesn’t justify sending anyone hateful messages,” Jessi said. “I get that people have different viewpoints, but this impacts our actual lives. Honestly, I feel pretty powerless at the moment. It’s unsettling to have personal things made public, even though I was the one who shared it – it’s still difficult.”
