Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter are endgame. 

Parents of Christopher, 10, Hal, 8, and Finn, 6, the couple recently attended a New York City screening of Benedict’s new film, The Thing With Feathers. It was a rare public outing for them.

The Avengers actor, 49, chose a classic and understated look for the event, wearing a dark suit with a white t-shirt. Sophie, 47, opted for a more glamorous outfit, featuring a sparkly, knee-length dress and coordinating heels.

Benedict and his wife are known for keeping their relationship private, but he’s occasionally offered small insights into their life together. He recently shared the key to maintaining a strong marriage after ten years.

He explained on the August 28th episode of Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast that being away from home frustrates his children, and him as well. To combat this, they’ve established a ‘two-week rule’ and prioritize finding work opportunities closer to home, allowing him to return home more often or bring his family with him.

Benedict and the acclaimed theater director first connected while filming the 2009 movie Burlesque Fairytales. They later married in a private ceremony on Valentine’s Day in 2015, just a month after sharing the news that they were expecting a child.

And you don’t need to be Sherlock to know it’s true love.

Speaking at his Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony in 2022, he shared how proud he is of his three children. He explained that they’ve not only brought him immense joy, but have also been incredibly influential, shaping who he is today – both by teaching him valuable lessons and challenging his established habits.

He added, “You’re my little stars, and I adore you.”
