IDW Publishing has brought the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles face-to-face with Godzilla and other giant monsters (Kaiju) in a huge crossover event. Even though the Turtles have battled powerful enemies before, Godzilla, King Ghidorah, and the rest are on a whole other level of destructive force. An ancient martial art offers a potential solution, but even with Master Splinter’s help, this might be a fight they can’t win. ComicBook has a first look at Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles X Godzilla #2, showing just how much damage these monsters can cause – it’s a total emergency situation!
The Turtles, Splinter, and April are heading straight into danger to face the threat. Splinter explains that an old, powerful technique once helped control these kinds of monsters and lessen their attacks. But it’s complicated and will take time to put into action. Right now, King Ghidorah is causing destruction all over New York City.
Things aren’t entirely hopeless, though! The issue features a welcome return by Mondo Gecko, a popular ally of the Turtles, and Casey Jones joins the adventure. Even with their help, stopping the powerful King Ghidorah proves difficult, and the situation escalates when the story moves to Japan.
Okay, so things in Tokyo are bad. Like, seriously bad. It’s basically a war zone right now, with the military throwing everything they’ve got at these giant monsters – the Kaiju. And it’s not just Godzilla anymore, which would be enough of a problem on its own! Now Rodan and Anguirus have shown up, and all three of them are just leveling the city. It’s total chaos!
Now, the decision needs to be made to approve the G-Force Special Defense plan. It appears that what’s hidden beneath the base could be an even greater threat than the Kaiju they’re fighting. See a full preview in the images above, and read the official details below.

New York City is under attack by the massive, three-headed monster King Ghidorah, and it’s up to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Master Splinter to save the day! At the same time, in Tokyo, Mechagodzilla is the only thing standing between Godzilla, Rodan, Anguirus, and total destruction. The Turtles have to hurry if they want to protect New York and then travel to Japan, because the villainous Shredder is secretly planning to steal power from these giant monsters!
The second issue of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles X Godzilla will be available in comic stores on January 7, 2026. You can pre-order it now until November 24.
