NVIDIA pushes GeForce Now India launch to Q1 2026, but the wait will be worth it: You can now register to receive updates on the RTX 5080-powered cloud gaming service

I’ve been eagerly anticipating NVIDIA’s GeForce Now service launching in India. They initially said it would be available by the first quarter of 2025, but that didn’t happen. More recently, in August, NVIDIA announced a November launch date.

NVIDIA has announced that servers are being constructed within the country to support its GeForce Now cloud gaming service. A landing page is now available in India where users can sign up for updates and express their interest. While details are limited, NVIDIA confirms that the server build-out has begun, though the official launch has been delayed until early next year.

GeForce Now has a confirmed launch window in India

NVIDIA has announced that its GeForce Now cloud gaming service will launch in India in the first quarter of 2026. Although the launch has been delayed several times, they currently expect everything to proceed as planned, though further unexpected issues are always possible.

Cloud gaming is gaining traction in India, especially after Microsoft introduced Xbox Cloud Gaming there in November. Unfortunately, a recent price increase makes the service less appealing, as a monthly Game Pass Ultimate subscription now costs ₹1,639 (about $18.25).

As a tech enthusiast and gamer, I’m really excited about GeForce Now. What sets it apart is that it lets you play games you *already* own – and that’s a big deal for us in India. Steam’s pricing here is fantastic, way cheaper than in many other countries, and GeForce Now takes full advantage of that. Honestly, for me, it’s a game changer. I’ve got a huge library of titles on Steam and the Epic Games Store that I haven’t even touched yet, and this makes getting to them so much easier and more affordable.

How much will GeForce Now cost in India?

Now that GeForce Now is coming to the country, the main question is how much it will cost. Currently, GeForce Now offers a few different plans. There’s a basic, ad-supported plan with limited session times and queueing. For $9 a month, the Performance tier gives you access to more powerful hardware, 1440p gaming, and longer six-hour sessions. If you want the best experience, the Ultimate tier costs $19 a month and includes even more powerful hardware for 4K gaming at 120 frames per second, with sessions lasting up to eight hours.

NVIDIA changed its subscription plans this year. Both the Performance and Ultimate tiers now include a limit of 100 hours of use per month. If you need more time, you can purchase additional hours or opt for a day pass, which starts at $3.99.

It’s unclear whether NVIDIA will offer GeForce Now at competitive prices in India, and I suspect it won’t. I expect the pricing to be similar to what’s offered in the U.S., or at least close to it. This is just my prediction, and we won’t know the actual cost until early next year. Although the launch has been delayed for a long time, it’s encouraging to see that GeForce Now is finally getting closer to being available in India.
