Spider-Man Confirmed to Appear In 4 Upcoming Movies & TV Shows In 2026

Spider-Man is set to appear in four new projects in 2026, potentially making it a fantastic year for fans of the character. It’s been a while since the last major Spider-Man film – fans have been eagerly awaiting sequels to Spider-Man: No Way Home and Across the Spider-Verse. While waiting, Sony has released films like Madame Web, Venom: The Last Dance, and Kraven the Hunter, which concluded their series of spin-off villain movies in 2024.

Despite the recent setbacks, Spider-Man fans have several exciting projects to look forward to. Beyond the Spider-Verse is scheduled for release in June 2027, and Spider-Man (possibly in multiple versions) will appear in Avengers: Secret Wars that December. Plus, Insomniac Games is reportedly working on Spider-Man 3, continuing the popular PlayStation 5 series. Even before those releases, Spider-Man is confirmed to appear in four significant movies and shows coming out in 2026.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2

Originally, people thought Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man would show the beginning of Tom Holland’s time as Spider-Man. However, when it came out in January 2025, it surprised everyone by telling a story set in a different universe, offering a new perspective on the hero.

As a huge Spider-Man fan, I’m thrilled to hear that Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is coming back for at least a third season! They’ve confirmed Season 2 will hit screens in Fall 2026, and honestly, after the way Season 1 ended – with Norman Osborn revealing his true colors and Lonnie Lincoln transforming into Tombstone – I can’t wait to see what kind of trouble they get into next. It’s setting up a seriously exciting future for the series!

Season 2 of the Disney+ Spider-Man series promises to be bigger and better than the first, with more appearances from Daredevil (played by Charlie Cox), the introduction of Gwen Stacy, and a storyline involving Venom. Expect a season that’s more dramatic, emotional, and humorous overall.

Spider-Noir

Nicolas Cage, who previously voiced Spider-Man Noir in the animated film Into the Spider-Verse, will return to the role in a live-action series for MGM+. A preview of the show was revealed earlier this year, and the eight episodes—each about 45 minutes long—are planned for release in both color and black-and-white in early 2026.

Nicolas Cage will play an older, struggling private detective in Spider-Noir. The story follows him as he confronts his history as the sole superhero operating in 1930s New York.

The new MGM+ series stars seven main actors, including Lamorne Morris (from New Girl) as Robbie Robertson, a well-known figure at the Daily Bugle, and Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin) as a New York mob boss who might also be the main villain from Spider-Noir.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day

It’s been nearly five years since the huge success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Tom Holland is finally back as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe on July 31st with Brand New Day. As with previous Spider-Man movies in the MCU, he won’t be alone – Jon Bernthal will reprise his role as the Punisher, and Mark Ruffalo will be back as the Hulk.

Even though many pictures and videos from the making of Spider-Man 4 have appeared online, the plot is still being kept under wraps. The movie will continue the story started by the after-credits scene in Spider-Man: Homecoming, with Michael Mando returning as Scorpion in a significant role, but we don’t yet know who the primary villain will be.

Fans are still waiting to find out how Zendaya’s MJ and Jacob Batalon’s Ned Leeds will return, since they both forgot everything about Peter Parker. Joining them will be Sadie Sink, known for her role in Stranger Things. While there’s been a lot of speculation about which Marvel character she’ll play, her actual role is still a secret.

Spidey and his Amazing Friends Season 5

The popular Disney Junior show, Spidey and his Amazing Friends, has been renewed for a fifth season, which is anticipated to premiere sometime in 2026. The series follows young heroes Peter Parker, Miles Morales, and Gwen Stacy as they team up to defeat villains like Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Rhino, and Electro.

After finishing the “Dino-Webs” adventure in Season 4, the Amazing Friends are now exploring an underwater world with new water-based powers and pirate costumes. We don’t yet know what big story Season 5, coming in 2026, will focus on.

This year, Disney Junior introduced a new series based on Spidey, called Iron Man and his Awesome Friends, featuring Tony Stark, Riri Williams, and Amadeus Cho. Coming in 2027, Marvel will expand its preschool TV lineup with Avengers: Mightiest Friends, and a recent Disney+ crossover revealed who will be on the team.

Is Spider-Man in Avengers: Doomsday?

Recently, there’s been a lot of discussion about whether Tom Holland will be in Avengers: Doomsday. This is mainly because of conflicts with his filming schedule for Brand New Day and his work on The Odyssey.

According to Daniel Richtman of ScreenTime, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man isn’t in the movie Doomsday right now, but he’s expected to have a significant part in Avengers: Secret Wars next year. While there’s still a chance he could appear in Doomsday through later filming, it probably wouldn’t be a substantial role.

A recent post from Richtman on X revealed that a Spider-Man stunt double was used, but not for Tom Holland. This has sparked excitement among fans, who are now speculating that Andrew Garfield or Tobey Maguire might step into the role for the 2026 Multiversal film while Holland is occupied with other projects.

Despite Garfield firmly denying he’ll be in Doomsday, most fans won’t believe him after the surprise appearance in No Way Home. However, he has expressed interest in being part of the upcoming 2027 film, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.

Rumors about Tobey Maguire potentially appearing in Avengers 5 have started circulating after he was seen in London. This is notable because filming for some of his earlier Spider-Man movies, like Doomsday and Brand New Day, also took place there. If the upcoming 2026 film does feature Spider-Man, many believe Maguire could be the one playing the role.
