Thanks to the latest announcements, we have a preview of what DC Comics has planned for February 2026. It’s shaping up to be an exciting month, as the big DC K.O. event nears its conclusion. Plus, DC is bringing back the Vertigo line of comics, and with Valentine’s Day falling mid-month, there’s even a romantic special on the way! Here are 5 must-read books coming from DC Comics next February.

5. Superman: Chains of Love Special #1

February always brings romance, and DC Comics is celebrating with a special Valentine’s Day comic. This year, Dan Slott and Leah Williams have teamed up with artists Ig Guara and Rosi Kampe to create Superman: Chains of Love #1, a unique romantic story. It features an unlikely pairing – the Creeper and Livewire – who not only fall in love but also start their own news organization to compete with The Daily Planet. This isn’t just a cute love story with superpowers; it’s an important addition to Superman’s history that will have an impact in 2026.

4. Bleeding Hearts #1

As a longtime fan of DC’s Vertigo line, I was thrilled to see it return, and the new titles are genuinely promising. One series I’m particularly excited about is Bleeding Hearts, from the team behind the fantastic 20th Century Men, Deniz Camp and Stipian Morian. The premise is intriguing: in a zombie-dominated world, one zombie, Poke, unexpectedly starts to feel – and see humans as something other than just a meal. Given how brilliantly Camp and Morian handled their last project, my expectations for this one are incredibly high.

3. DC K.O.: Boss Battle #1

As a huge DC fan, I was completely floored when they announced DC K.O. would be bringing in characters from other universes like Homelander and Sub-Zero! Everyone’s been buzzing about how they’ll actually fit into the DC world. Jeremy Adams is leading the charge on this crazy story, with art from Carmine di Giandomenico, Ronan Cliquet, and a few others in DC K.O.: Boss Battle #1. Honestly, I’m going in with no expectations – it’s that wild. But the idea of seeing someone like Samantha from Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees going toe-to-toe with the Joker or Green Lantern? Come on, that’s what we all want to see happen!

2. Absolute Wonder Woman #17

The Absolute Wonder Woman series remains a standout success. The February issues continue Diana’s conflict with Veronica Cale, who sends a series of villains to control Wonder Woman. Following the exciting introduction of Absolute Zatanna, the story adds another classic enemy: Absolute Giganta! Kelly Thompson and Hayden Sherman team up in Absolute Wonder Woman #17 to bring Giganta into the mix, and the cover suggests this will be Diana’s toughest battle yet.

1. DC K.O. #4

I can’t believe how close we are to the end of DC K.O.! The story is really building to a climax now that we’re down to the Final Four. Darkseid is desperate to prevent anyone from becoming King Omega, so he’s brought out the big guns – a corrupted Absolute Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman! Honestly, I’m totally baffled why these heroes are fighting for Darkseid, and I’m on the edge of my seat wondering what will happen when they go up against the real Prime heroes. I have no idea what the answers are, but I’m counting down the days until DC K.O. #4 comes out next February – it’s going to be epic!
