Let’s be honest, living in Walford as Cindy Beale pretty much guarantees you’ll find yourself in trouble.
Michelle Collins’ character on EastEnders has been involved in so much drama over the years that it’s difficult to know who her friends are. She doesn’t have a large group of people she can rely on.
Okay, let me tell you, I was genuinely worried for her in tonight’s episode. That fall down the stairs, orchestrated by the newcomer Jasmine Fisher – played brilliantly by Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness, by the way – was a real shocker and left me on the edge of my seat. It was a truly tense moment, and I’m anxious to see what happens next!

The bartender is a bit of a mystery. We’ve only recently discovered she has a hidden, more troubled side. Since she started working here, Jasmine has become fixated on finding out everything about Cindy, and she’s even moved into Cindy’s house to get closer to her.
She appeared hesitant to provide her employment eligibility documents, and when she finally gave her National Insurance number, the system showed it was registered under a different name.
While Cindy was trying to explain her confusion with Elaine Peacock to someone in the pub, Nigel Bates revealed he’d overheard Jasmine talking about getting revenge – he’d accidentally run into her with his car and listened in.
Cindy met with Jasmine’s mother, who cautioned her that Jasmine was difficult and best kept distant. She also revealed that Jasmine’s father had a troubled family history, which immediately worried Cindy.
She’s been avoiding the Ford family since the late 1990s, after an encounter that led to her needing witness protection. Once the danger passed, she was able to return to Albert Square and pick up where she left off.

Jasmine was furious to learn Cindy had seen her mother, and in a fit of rage, pushed Cindy down the stairs at The Prince Albert pub. Oscar Branning discovered Cindy unconscious and she was immediately taken to the hospital.
He went to find Jasmine, hoping she could help calm the chaotic situation. She insisted she hadn’t done anything wrong, but Oscar noticed blood on her shoes.
She finally made up a story, claiming Cindy had attacked her and she’d only defended herself by pushing Cindy away. Oscar, who was completely infatuated with her, readily believed the lie.

He eventually directly asked her if she was connected to the Ford family and if her interest in him was just a way to get near Cindy. She firmly denied both accusations.
After the Beale and Knight families allowed Cindy some peace to rest in the hospital, Jasmine quietly looked in on her from the doorway, and Cindy saw her.
Is this confirmation that Jasmine is a Ford?
