Readers first encountered the immortal warrior B. in the comic book series BRZRKR, created by Keanu Reeves and BOOM! Studios. Now, he’s embarking on a new adventure at sea. B. has been through a lot, and he now finds himself in a tough spot where only someone connected to the ocean can help. ComicBook is offering a first look at his next journey in BRZRKR: The Bleeding Tide #1. The preview shows things haven’t been easy for the immortal since we last saw him, but he’ll need to bounce back quickly to aid those trying to save him.
In BRZRKR: The Bleeding Tide, a pirate captain and her crew investigate a strange heartbeat echoing throughout their ship. They discover the source is a chained container at the ocean floor. Even with enemies surrounding them, they manage to raise the container, hoping its contents will give them an advantage.
It’s clear that B. is severely damaged – only his head is fully formed. While he’ll recover quickly due to his immortality, he needs to do so fast. Enemy ships are rapidly approaching, and he can’t defend himself in his current condition. If he manages to pull himself together, however, those incoming ships are about to face a surprise they won’t see coming.
The first issue of BRZRKR: The Bleeding Tide, written by Marjorie Liu and illustrated by Garry Brown, will be released on November 26th. Garry Brown also created the main cover art, with variant covers by Khary Randolph, Rebeca Puebla, Michael Dialynas, and Giuseppe Camuncoli. See below for an official summary of the issue.

Things just got really intense! I’m completely hooked because B. is suddenly thrown into a fight to protect the crew from a surprise attack at sea, and honestly, I’m worried about what’s going on. I’m dying to know what the captain is up to – why does she have such a huge bounty on her head, and what secret is she keeping?
