A playable demo for the horror musical mystery game, There Are No Ghosts at the Grand, is now available on PC through Steam, according to its developer, Friday Sundae.
Here is an overview of the game, via Friday Sundae:
In There Are No Ghosts at the Grand, you take on the role of the new owner of a rundown English hotel. By day, you’ll renovate and bring it back to its former glory, and by night, you’ll face off against spooky ghosts! This unique adventure combines a twisting supernatural story with musical elements, and features a witty cat and a power tool that actually talks.
Every unique character you encounter has a personal history and a song reflecting their past, ranging from eerie ska and wartime jazz to energetic skater punk – all waiting for you to discover them.
Once darkness arrives, your everyday power tools become tools to fight ghosts and other supernatural creatures. Use the vacuum cleaner to capture angry spirits, reveal hidden enemies with the paint sprayer, or knock down creepy crawlers with a bookcase launched from the furniture cannon.
While players explore, fix up, and rebuild, they’ll start to reveal unsettling Lovecraftian secrets, and a growing sense of dread will build with each new discovery.
The game There Are No Ghosts at the Grand will be released on Xbox Series and PC (through Steam and the Microsoft Store) in 2026. More platforms will be revealed at a later date, and it will also be available to play with Xbox Game Pass.
