Eminem’s Daughter Alaina Scott Details Emotional Pregnancy Journey

Alaina Scott has a lot to be thankful for.

The 32-year-old, who is married to Matt Moeller and expecting their first child, recently shared her journey with getting pregnant, revealing she had difficulty conceiving before becoming pregnant earlier this year.

Alaina shared on Instagram November 22nd that she and her husband had been praying for a baby for months. She explained that people don’t fully understand how difficult and emotionally draining it is to try to get pregnant, describing the hope and disappointment of each passing month. Alaina’s biological mother is Dawn Scott, the sister of Eminem’s former wife, Kim Mathers.

The 32-year-old, who married Matt in 2023, shared how she purposefully wished for and welcomed her baby girl.

We wrote a prayer on the walls of our house while we were building it, hoping to have a healthy baby and get good news in 2025. Those same walls were where I told Matt our prayers had been answered, and it’s where we’ll raise our daughter – it feels like everything has come full circle.

The video also features a touching clip of Alaina seeing her positive pregnancy test, capturing her excitement as she prepares to welcome her baby daughter.

She excitedly shared, “I can’t wait to finally meet our baby girl and give her all my love. Grow strong, little one – I’ll see you very soon!”

Eminem is about to become a grandfather again! His adopted daughter, Alaina, is expecting a baby, following the birth of his first grandchild, Elliot, who was born in March to his daughter, Hailie Jade.

Oh my gosh, you guys, Hailie just had a baby with Evan McClintock, and it’s SO sweet! She said becoming a mom has actually made her understand her dad – Eminem! – in a whole new way. Like, she finally gets things from his perspective. It’s just… everything is perfect!

The 29-year-old explained to People magazine in June that he now understands the difficult position his father was in – wanting to keep the family’s personal life private, but also wanting to share his pride in his children.

She explained that it’s important to find a good balance between sharing your life and keeping things private. Becoming a parent has made finding that balance even more crucial for her.

Eminem has other important women in his life besides his daughters, Alaina and Hailie. Read on to learn more about his family.

Kimberly Ann Scott, originally from Michigan, was Eminem’s high school girlfriend. They had a daughter, Hailie Jade, in 1995.

Kim and the rapper were married from 1999 to 2001, and had a brief second marriage in 2006. Their difficult relationship has been mentioned in several of his songs, such as ’97 Bonnie & Clyde,’ ‘Puke,’ and ‘Bad Husband.’

Kim described a recurring cycle in her relationship, explaining in a 2007 interview with 20/20 that they typically had two good years together before things would fall apart. She felt they hadn’t reached that two-year mark yet and didn’t want to push things forward prematurely.

However, Kim noted that Eminem has always been an “excellent” father.

“He loves the kids very much,” she shared. “He’s always lending a helping hand.”

Eminem and Kim had their daughter, Hailie, on December 25, 1995. The rapper has said that her birth was a turning point, motivating him to focus and work harder.

In 2001, Eminem told Q magazine that everything he was working on was to secure his daughter Hailie’s future, specifically to pay for her college education.

She grew up largely in the Detroit area, living with Eminem during her teenage years. Later, she went to Michigan State University to study psychology, where she met her future husband, Evan McClintock. They got engaged in 2023 and married in May 2024.

Eminem shared in a 2020 interview on Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson that his daughter, Hailie Jade, graduated college with a 3.9 GPA and that he’s very proud of her.

Hailie revealed she was expecting her first child with Evan in October 2024. They welcomed a son, Elliot Marshall McClintock, in March 2025.

Born on Feb. 22, 1993, Alaina is the daughter of Kim’s sister Dawn Scott

In the early 2000s, Eminem took legal guardianship of his niece because her mother was battling addiction. He explained to Rolling Stone in 2004 that he had full custody of his niece and shared custody of his daughter, Hailie. He’d always been a constant presence in Hailie’s life, and his niece had been living with him and Kim since she was a baby, essentially being raised alongside Hailie wherever they lived.

Raised primarily by Eminem, she considers him a father figure and asked him to walk her down the aisle at her wedding to Matt Moeller in June 2023.

After the wedding, where Hailie was a Maid of Honor, she told People magazine, “He wouldn’t have missed it for the world. I’m so incredibly grateful to my dad – none of this would have happened without him.”

Her mother passed away in 2016 at the age of 41.

In October 2025, she revealed that she was pregnant with her and Matt’s first child, a baby girl.

Kim and her boyfriend at the time, Eric Hartter, had Stevie on April 16, 2002. Eminem later legally adopted Stevie in 2005 after getting back together with Kim.

In August 2021, Stevie publicly shared that they are nonbinary and use all pronouns. They announced this in a video on TikTok.

They added in the caption, “forever growing and changing.”

Born in 1955 at a military base in Kansas, Debbie is the mother of Eminem.

In her 2008 memoir, My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem, she revealed she married Marshall Bruce Mathers Jr., the father of the artist known as Eminem, when she was just 15 years old. Sixteen months later, she became pregnant with Eminem and moved to Michigan to be near her grandmother.

The difficult relationship between Debbie and Eminem has appeared in his music, most notably in his 2002 song “Cleanin’ Out My Closet.” In the song, he claimed his mother struggled with prescription pill abuse during his childhood, an accusation she refuted in her autobiography.

She wondered what mother would want to be labeled an alcoholic dependent on public assistance. She explained that none of the accusations were true, but the lies continued to grow, eventually leading to a breakdown in her relationship with Marshall.

Eminem later said he regretted making his family problems public. In his 2013 song “Headlights,” he admitted he didn’t consider the impact of his words, rapping, “I just dove in headfirst, never thinking about who I hurt with what I said / And my mom probably took the worst of it.”

Nelson died at the age of 69 in 2024 following a battle with cancer.
