Travis Kelce’s Ex Kayla Nicole Reveals New Rule About Dating Athletes

Okay, so a lot of you have been asking about my dating life, and I wanted to share a little update. As many of you know, I was with Travis Kelce for several years – from 2017 to 2022, to be exact. But I’ve realized I’m ready to move forward and honestly, I’m no longer focusing my search on athletes. I’m open to finding love, but I’m definitely expanding my horizons!

Kayla said on the November 25th episode of Harry Jowsey’s Boyfriend Material podcast that while she’s not interested in dating athletes, she’d be open to dating the people who own the teams.

She’s making an effort to be open-minded when looking for a partner. The 34-year-old joked that being too specific about what she wants has caused problems for her in the past.

“I’m really just open,” Kayla continued, joking that “the bar is really in hell these days.”

Kayla Nicole, host of the Pre-Game With Kayla Nicole podcast, said she does have one specific thing she’s looking for in a future boyfriend.

“Let’s talk about getting a job,” she said. “You need to find something productive to occupy your time instead of bothering me.”

Although Kayla would like her partner to have a job, she emphasized that something else is even more important to her.

I care much more about who people are on the inside – their character and personality, that is. I used to focus on things like how someone looked, their job, or whether they had children, but I don’t prioritize those things anymore.

In fact, as she gets older, her outlook on love has “really changed.”

Kayla said she’s looking for someone with strong morals, drive, and a romantic side. She actually keeps a list on her phone of qualities she wants in a partner, and recently added ‘very romantic’ to it.

And the content creator shared an example of the exact kind of romance she’s hoping to manifest. 

I remember one guy I dated really went all out. He sent me shopping for an outfit, flew me to the date, and had flowers waiting in the car. He’d planned the entire night – it was so thoughtful and clearly a lot of effort had gone into making sure everything was perfect.
