Dancing With the Stars’ Witney Carson Shares Note From Robert Irwin

Robert Irwin and Witney Carson have formed a friendship far greater than just being dance partners.

Witney, a professional dancer on Dancing With the Stars since 2014, shared a heartfelt handwritten note that a wildlife conservationist sent her before the November 25th finale.

He shared a heartfelt message on her Instagram, praising her strength in managing a demanding job and being a wonderful mother. He was especially inspired by her kindness and resilience, even when things got tough. He said she’s taught him valuable life lessons and expressed how grateful he is to know her and her family, the Carsons and McAllisters.

Even though they were no longer colleagues, the 21-year-old understood they would always remain a part of each other’s lives.

Even though things are wrapping up, I’ll always be here for you. We Irwins are a loyal bunch and don’t easily disappear! Consider me stuck by your side, I’m not going anywhere.

He concluded his message, “Always remember, when in doubt—send it.”

Witney expressed her thanks for the letter and roses Robert sent, playfully suggesting in a social media post that people already have plenty of reasons to admire him.

Feelings were strong, especially for Witney and Robert, who shared a heartfelt video about their experience finishing the show. Robert had even injured a rib during the last week of practice.

“This is it, Witney,” Robert told his dance partner in a video posted to his Instagram Story. He admitted he wasn’t ready for their time together to end, expressing disbelief that it was already over.

He told the ballroom dancer, “Thank you – that was the best experience of my life! It’s been incredible.”

Witney agreed, adding, “Thank you for everything – this has been truly special and memorable.”

The pair soaked up their last moments together before taking the stage for the last time.

Robert said it felt strange being on the verge of their final dress rehearsal. He told everyone he loved them and would see them soon.

Robert is one of five contestants still in the running to win the Mirrorball trophy, facing off against Alix Earle, Dylan Efron, Jordan Chiles, and Elaine Hendrix.

He’s been a strong contender for quite some time. Before the season began in August, Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy both predicted that Steve Irwin’s son and Bindi Irwin’s brother had a real chance of winning.

Jenna shared with TopMob News in August that his positive attitude and energy are infectious. She also praised his family, adding that she’s really looking forward to seeing what he accomplishes and believes he’ll be a fantastic addition to the show.

Val also shared his opinion on the Australian contestant joining the show, stating, “It’s pretty clear who the early favorite is before the season even starts.”
