Alix Earle will be dancing on air for some time.
The influencer became emotional after finishing as the runner-up with her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, on the season 34 finale of Dancing With the Stars on November 25th, expressing how thankful she was for the entire experience.
“I can’t believe it’s finished,” Alix told Will Marfuggi of TopMob News. “Everything happened so quickly, with so much excitement leading up to tonight. Now that it’s over, the realization is really hitting me hard.”
Even though Robert Irwin and Witney Carson won the Mirrorball Trophy, Alix was thrilled with how things turned out, saying, “It was the best night ever, and I couldn’t have asked for anything more.”
The social media star, who competed against Jordan Chiles, Ezra Sosa, Dylan Efron, Daniella Karagach, Elaine Hendrix, and Alan Bersten in the final round, also thanked her dance partner. She acknowledged that teamwork is essential in dancing, saying it truly takes two to tango.
She said that dancing every day has been incredibly positive and helpful for her well-being. Having a supportive and encouraging best friend throughout the process has made it even better.
Plus, Alix feels she really grew as a person throughout the two months she spent filming in L.A.
Being alone allowed me much-needed time for self-reflection. I’m usually so busy and constantly on the go, so it was nice to finally slow down and focus on something I really wanted to do, even if the situation itself was chaotic.

Throughout the season, judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli frequently complimented Alix on her significant improvement as a dancer. She and her partner, Val, consistently received some of the highest scores from the judges.
But for Alix, this journey has gone far beyond the scores she sees on the screen.
She shared in a TikTok posted November 19th, after the show’s semifinals, that being on Dancing With the Stars has been a life-changing experience. She believes she’ll emerge a completely different person, and feels it was the best decision she could have made.

She admitted that after the first week, she wasn’t sure she could last, but she was determined to give it her best effort, focus completely on dancing, and see if she could make it to the final. She emphasized that she wouldn’t let up now, despite the challenges.
Even though she and Val had spent a grueling week getting ready for the season finale – learning six dances in total – the 24-year-old was glad the competition wasn’t over yet.
She expressed her excitement, savoring every moment. She admitted she’d been emotional during the judges’ feedback, especially hearing them acknowledge her improvement and hard work – a result of Val’s dedicated coaching. She added that their journey wasn’t over yet.
All their dedication really showed, as Alix and Val scored a perfect 30 on every dance in the finale.
The TikTok creator credits her success to her professional partner. After filming nearly all of their episodes together, Alix sent Val a message saying, “Thank you for constantly motivating me, through the long hours, the laughter, the tears, and for creating the best memories I could have hoped for.”
