Pokemon Go Reveals Pokemon Go Tour 2026 Dates, New Kalos Shiny Debuts, & More

Since its launch in 2016, Pokemon Go has focused on connecting people in the real world. In addition to in-game activities like Raids and Community Days, Niantic also holds yearly Pokemon Go events where fans can meet. As 2025 comes to a close and a new Pokemon Go season begins, details for the 2026 Pokemon Go Tour have been announced.

The first live Pokémon Go event of 2026 will be Pokémon Go Tour: Kalos. The event will focus on Pokémon originally from the Kalos region, which was featured in Pokémon X and Y and recently revisited in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Like last year, there will be multiple in-person events, followed by a larger global event weekend. Niantic usually shares more details closer to the event date to build excitement. Here’s what’s been announced so far about Pokémon Go Tour: Kalos.

Pokemon Go Tour: Kalos Locations & Dates Confirmed for 2026

The 2026 Pokémon Go Tour: Kalos will begin with live events in two cities, and then continue with a worldwide online finale. Here are the dates and locations for the in-person events:

  • February 20th-22nd: Tainan, Taiwan
  • February 20th-22nd: Los Angeles, CA

If you want to come to the Go Tour in person, you’ll need to get tickets first. You can buy them on the official Go Tour website – that’s where I’m heading to get mine!

After the live event, Pokémon Go trainers worldwide can join the Pokémon Go Tour: Kalos – Global event from February 28th to March 1st. While the in-person event requires a ticket, most of the Global event is free to play. There will be optional paid tickets available with extra features to enhance your experience.

Mythical Shiny Debuts & More To Come in Pokemon Go Tour: Kalos

This year’s Go Tour focuses on Pokémon from the Kalos region – those first appearing in Pokémon X and Y – and you’ll find a lot of them appearing in the game. As with any major Pokémon Go event, there are also some brand-new Pokémon making their debut! Niantic has announced several new Shiny Pokémon that will be available to catch, starting at the in-person Go Tour: Kalos event. Here’s a list of the Shiny Pokémon that have been confirmed so far:

  • Shiny Diancie (Obtainable through new Masterwork Research, Paid Ticket Only)
  • Shiny Hawlucha (10 KM Eggs)
  • Shiny Honedge (One-Star Raids)
  • Shiny Klefki (10 KM Eggs)

During the Kalos Go Tour event, the Pokémon Hawlucha and Klefki will hatch from 10KM eggs more often as Shiny Pokémon. This is a great opportunity to collect lots of eggs and incubators to increase your chances of finding them!

Go Tour 2026 Event Bonuses & Paid Global Ticket Details

The Pokemon Go Kalos Tour isn’t just about finding new and shiny Pokemon in the wild! You’ll also have chances to battle and catch Pokemon from the Kalos region in One-Star, Five-Star, and Mega Raids, including powerful Pokemon like Xerneas, Yveltal, and various Mega Pokemon. You can find a complete list of confirmed raid battles on the official Kalos Go Tour webpage.

The global event will include special bonuses for all players while it’s happening. Here are the confirmed bonuses for the 2026 Go Tour Global event:

  • CP Boost for Mega-Evolved Pokemon
  • 1/2 Hatch Distance for Eggs Placed into Incubators During the Event
  • Special Trade limit increased to 6 per day
  • 1/2 Stardust Cost for Trades

Although all trainers can enjoy certain benefits, the Go Tour: Kalos – Global event offers extra perks specifically for those who purchase tickets. Here’s what ticket holders will receive:

  • Boosted Shiny odds
  • One GO Snapshot Surprise Encounter Per Day
  • Boosted Field Research with Event Encounter Pokemon
  • Furfrou Timed Research
  • Go Tour: Kalos Special Research

So, it seems like a lot of the special research for the Kalos Go Tour in 2026 will be for those of us who buy tickets. But the good news is, everyone will still be able to enjoy the increased Pokémon spawns and join in on Raids! I’m really excited about that part, even if I don’t get all the research tasks.
