Whitney Leavitt is no longer worried about stepping on toes.
Right after the season 34 finale of Dancing With the Stars, where Robert Irwin won, Whitney spoke openly about her issues with Jen Affleck, a costar on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. She addressed Jen’s claim that Whitney only did DWTS to fulfill Jen’s own dream.
Whitney said on the November 26th episode of Call Her Daddy that she’s always dreamed of being on the show, and believes anyone can have big dreams too. She was thrilled that she and another person were able to achieve this one together.
Jen and Whitney, both contestants on Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) – partnered with Jan Ravnik and Mark Ballas, respectively – were rumored to be feuding after Jen was eliminated on October 28th. Viewers noticed Whitney smiling, then quickly covering her mouth, when the co-hosts announced the results.
Whitney clarified that she wasn’t thrilled about Jen’s elimination. She was simply relieved and happy to still be on the show.
Let me tell you, being in a competition like that really messes with your head! Every Tuesday, I genuinely thought I was going to be eliminated. I was bracing myself, mentally saying goodbye… so when my name wasn’t called, it was such a weird mix of relief and then immediate sadness, because it meant a friend of mine was the one heading home instead. It’s a really tough emotional rollercoaster.
Whitney said she doesn’t recall smiling, but she remembers feeling relieved when her name wasn’t called, meaning she’d have another week to compete.

Okay, so about the drama… Whitney hinted that we’ll finally get the full story behind it all in season four of Secret Lives. Apparently, they filmed that right while they were both on Dancing With the Stars – can you believe it?! I’m already counting down the days, because I need to know everything! It’s going to be epic, I just know it.
She explained that a lot went on during her time on Dancing With the Stars. She believes hurt feelings developed on both sides, and that everyone involved simply didn’t understand each other.
Whitney and the other person are still not on good terms. She says their relationship is strained, and she’s not even sure if they have one anymore.
Okay, so she says she wasn’t happy to see Jen leave, but honestly? Whitney totally admitted things were rocky between them. It really hurt her feelings when Jen basically said she wasn’t going to support Whitney winning – she even said it ‘sucked’ to hear that! Like, can you believe it? After everything, Jen wouldn’t even give her a little encouragement. It’s just…ugh, I’m so Team Whitney right now!
Whitney explained that Jen knows firsthand what it’s like to be a public figure and receive negative attention. She was disappointed that Jen publicly announced she wouldn’t vote for someone instead of simply sharing who she was supporting. Whitney felt Jen unnecessarily contributed to the negativity.

Whitney hinted that the origins of their conflict will be revealed in season four of Secret Lives, which was filmed while they were also competing on Dancing With the Stars.

For her part, Jen has revealed how some of her issues with Whitney began.
Jen explained on their Hulu show that she’s always dreamed of being on Dancing With the Stars, and told her partner about it from the very beginning. She feels frustrated because as soon as an opportunity arises, her partner suddenly claims it’s something she’s always wanted too.
She recently told TopMob News that they clashed while competing on Dancing with the Stars.
Jen explained to TopMob that appearing on Dancing With the Stars was a long-held dream for both her and her partner, and she really wanted to keep that experience enjoyable and separate from the conflicts on their other show. However, she admitted there were times when it was difficult to prevent issues from spilling over onto the Dancing With the Stars set.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’ve been reflecting on all the amazing dancers who competed for the Mirrorball Trophy on Season 34! Let’s take a look back at their journeys and performances – it was a season full of talent and memorable moments.
